I've renewed but am curious what the £25 hold actually gets you if we only miss out on the Celtic game before restrictions are dropped.

Do you still get to buy a season ticket at the discounted rate or is it at the full rate. Also is there a reduction for one less game?

Sorry if covered before

Option 1: Your Hearts Pass

We are introducing an option for those who are not in a position to or who do not wish to renew their Season Tickets until they know for sure that they can once again attend games in person. This means they can defer their season ticket purchase. For £25, the “Your Hearts Pass” will secure your right to purchase your seat in the future. When stadium capacity numbers allow, or at any point during the season, you will be able to ‘upgrade’ to a pro-rata priced season ticket. Your initial £25 outlay will be discounted from your purchase.

I would imagine it's 7k with those who have paid to defer.

The deferral is, as stated in the bumph, ‘for those who are not in a position to or who do not wish to renew their Season Tickets’.

Given that description it would be strange to count it as a renewal imo.

Thanks Dave, so a pro-rata priced season ticket could actually cost you more than buying one now, with a slim chance of attending the Celtic game?

I'm surmising that Season Ticket Guarantee credits are only valid until 15th July, so after that a renewal will cost you more?

Does the £25 give you the option of buying or actually commit you to buying? Given that it now looks like potentially only one game will be played with reduced capacity then the difference between a full season ticket and a £25 hold should be minimal.

I love your optimistic view that its only 1 game with reduced capacity.  We've been nowhere near the ground at all for over a year and you think we will go almost instantly straight back up to full houses?? Not a hope in hell of that happening.

I think it will be a gradual increase in capacity over the course of a few months.

I've taken the 'Pass' as I pay £25 now to guarantee my seat, without compromising the discounted price of my ticket (having paid full last year). It wouldn't make sense to be offered a discounted price then have that taken away because you have taken up the 'Pass' option?!

I'm basing my view on government policy. They have announced dates for lifting all major legal restrictions. Their policy is based on the percentage of people who will be fully vaccinated by that point.

What is your view based on?

That’s my interpretation of the ‘rules’ as well.

With monthly pay packets due soon I’m wondering if the 7,000 plus Season Ticket show we’re in a good place sales wise or not. Now would more ST’s be sold but for COVID restrictions, unemployment, rising cost of living, Neilson staying etc. and obviously the answer is yes. Decisions trying to balance the right, safe thing to do on stadium attendances and travel are difficult while COVID spreads at high levels against the high uptake of virus inoculation. We are in a horrible situation and hopefully we’ll see stadiums full but we have to try and stay united and back the decision makers at this strange time in our history.

It’s reserving your seat for 25 pound. Gives you the right to pay for a season ticket pro rate once restrictions are eased or better financial position

I agree with you.  I would probably buy a ST if the club said we are playing all home matches at Murrayfield until full crowds are allowed at Tynecastle.  Probably quite a few Hearts supporters in the same boat.

I read today that by the Aberdeen game if everything goes to plan it will be near a full house.

La Liga teams being allowed 75% capacity for the start of the season apparently. Hopefully we can do similar.

Have you been living in Scotland for the past 18 months?

You think Sturgeon is going to relax the iron grip?  It doesn't matter what goes on down south or in Europe, we will be stricter.

I think 5k by Christmas is optimistic.

Lets wait and see if that happens nearer the time - I'm pessimistic about one I've got booked for August (from June last year).

We can only go with “all physical distancing regulations lifted on 9 august” as quoted on Tuesday

No justification for this not to take place

12,500 in a 20,000 capacity stadium should certainly be possible by beginning of August. That’s all we need, 12,500 season ticket holders then gradually increase walk-ups, then lastly allow away fans in.

Should be. If 140,000 can attend Silverstone in mid July there’s no reason why we can’t have 12-15k from day 1 of the league season.
There is one reason but I suspect by then she will have folded on the restrictions and followed Boris’s lead.

I agree.  Those of us who have bought STs should surely be able to get in.  Can only hope.

Key phrase in the guidance states that continue to engage with stakeholders across sectors as restrictions are eased to assist with forward planning and taking into account the risks and needs of each setting

This. I think she can delay implementing decisions made by the UK government and wait and see if those decisions become long term or permanent but her real goal is independence and unpopular decisions that weaken the economy and slow down the return to normality will ultimately push her further away from her ‘end game’.

From a political point of view she can always just copy wm and if it goes wrong says he had to follow them.

Anyway, as we are a kiddy on country and need our hand held and need led by the English, once furlough ends she has to return I normal even if large numbers are dieing and the hospitals are full.

A a side not, some hospitals in England are reaching capacity as we speak, not only down to covid but they expect covid cases to increase and if they do into winter they are expecting to be Donald ducked.

Not sure on the hospital issues here, we sem to be a  Bit better just now.

I'd bet there will be far more than 5k before xmas based on the recent statements from the Scottish Government about dates they are aiming for level zero.

I might’ve sounded quite confident in giving my assessment in my last post but ultimately, even if NS does follow Westminster I’ve no idea what will happen. I’ve learned  not to to be overly optimistic after last summers brief break from restrictions. The vaccine is obviously what everyone hopes will be a game changer but I’ve no idea if that’s how it will pan out. All it takes is a variant resistant to the vaccines and we’re back to square one until the scientists come up with a new vaccine and on and on it could go.

Lynx, as in smelly ****er, more accurately.

Having spent a fair few Saturday mornings in leith pubs, the smell of cheap deodorant would be a big improvement.

Sorry for delay was working 12 hour shift.

My view is based on where we are at right now. You genuinely believe only 1 match will be restricted numbers then we can open the stands up fully? Seriously, you think scottish gov is going to allow full opening of stadia, with no restrictions?

If that happens then economics will take over and governments will just accept an attrition rate to keep their countries functioning.

Could call it "natural order "

I don’t think there will be too many not renewing just because of Robbie staying on (just my thoughts). Everyone I know is so desperate to get back to watching live football and having their day out / socialising. I don’t know one person not renewing because of the manager.

I think any real drop will be due to covid and not knowing if they are going to be allowed back in / given a date for getting through the turnstiles.
