Seems we were shown lenience in the case of Andy Irving.

As I said on the other thread, ours was a clerical error but the player wasn't banned at the time . This is much more serious and while harsh, is probably the right decision

Probably, mind you would have saved us that nasty day at Murrayfield

Ha! Reminds me of leaving Hampden after losing the semi-final to Airdrie (again) when Robbo got sent off and, in amongst the usual in-fighting about McLean and some of the players, some guy shouting "It's all John Millar's fault!" as he'd scored a double v Dundee United in the quarters.

Don't remind me of that game.  I went to the replay and got the piss ripped out of me at work as I was absolutely raging at the result for days after.

Me too. Still the most painful experience I have had watching the JT's

Glad it says handed a 3-0 defeat. Rather than the ludicrously phrased "offered" as  in the suspensions.

That wasn't the replay shambles one. That was the out and out nonsense of us turning up to Hampden under the Hamster and getting papped out of a tournament which could have ended up having an all-Edinburgh final. Hibs did take Celtic to a replay in the other semi, but then natural order resumed.

The one you're thinking of must be the earlier one.

Hearts didnt lay a finger on airdrie that day  , an absolutely  shocker of shockers,     scandalous semi final performance ....

Can't remember much of the team except Robbo (who got sent off). Was it a usual Berry, MacKay, Smith sort of lineup?

I get the impression something may have happened or been said previously as they looked like total strangers on the park ,   this is the team.who had put out rangers and the holders dun utd  previously  think.nelson was in goal , Jim bett midfield...

Think that was the game Kevin Thomas did his knee ligaments but was encouraged by Tommy McLean to run it off.

Robbo sent off too for engaging with once ex Hearts wonder kid Anthony Smith.

But off tangent.

Pretty much no option but to award tie 3.0 to EK.  No form of administrative error correction, oversight allows player to be on pitch.

I was at that one too.

A mate was a bit/a lot pissed up and ran down to the gate to try and get on the pitch and go for the ref.  He somehow changed his mind as he was standing at the gate!

I can only remember a very sparsely  packed 'rangers' end , railway sleepers, dust in between them and an utterly sh** performance. One of our worst at Hampden.

I have a nephew who is truly a "bitter" hun and his Facebook page is all about "karma" ref Kilmarnock.

How thoroughly pathetic at so many levels.  If sectarianism was treated the same way as racism, his shore family would be in deep six.

You've never forgiven them for what exactly?  Not rolling over and giving Hearts the title win?

It should never have went to a replay. Dave MacPherson scored a perfectly good goal in the first game which was chopped off for some unknown reason.

Not in the same league as John Bain pies at Stenhouse Cross.

Or some of the pies we had Down Under.

Killie pies are a myth. Feck them.

I myth them.
