Good. I want him to enjoy his retirement and spend his time on the golf course and getting free tickets for all Hearts games, not working.

He was playing Gullane No.1 this morning.

Saint Jambo

Makes sense. He came in to fill a gap on a temporary basis. That gap has been filled on a permanent basis now.

Always a club legend. Wish him a happy retirement.

Why? Hopefully on good terms

It was always a temporary thing. We've got Savage and a new CEO now. He'll be back. I'd always have him on the board in some capacity, and as a caretaker Hearts manager whenever needed, .

Bit sad, assuming he'll still remain associated with the club in some capacity i.e hospitality or something?

Anyway, hope he enjoys his retirement, its well earned!

This.

JJ involved in some capacity at the club always makes me feel reassured.

Similarly Lockie and Robbo.

Would JJ?

I think JJ would be quite happy spending the week on the golf course and then Tynecastle for a few free drinks and watch the game every fortnight.

That's my retirement plan. Just haven't managed to get the free drinks yet.

Being on the Hearts board isn’t necessarily a good way to maintain your popularity or reputation.

Jim’s love for Hearts, and everything he has done, is the polar opposite to Levein. No question who the real Hearts man is. Best of luck JJ, forever in our Hearts. ♥️

Mr Hearts.

If you don’t love JJ, you’re not a Hearts fan.

All the best, Mr Jim.

Think it was just supposed to be a temporary thing and until they sorted everything out but there should have been an announcement all the same

remember meeting him at the hospitality against the hobos, not Xmas past, but the year before. A huge highlight for me - blethered to him for 5 mins or so - an absolute gentleman and so down to earth

Would like to see JJ on the board as a director.

Nah. He had his scare and hearts are the love of his life. He done, at a point in time, what a lot of us didn’t believe would ever happen, and given how close we had come on occasions, and delivered us our first cup win for years - wouldn’t want him stressing anymore

Want him to go and earn his rest and enjoy his retirement - he deserves it more than anyone I know 😌
