I like Tiafoe anyway but Shelton's dad is nipping my head with his coaching.

Equal record of grand slams with Margaret Court.

Less Wimbledon titles than Federer

Less French Open titles than Nadal

Less US open titles than Bob Bryan

1 less gold medal in olympics than Murray.

Does have most Australian open wins, most tournament wins and longest overall weeks at number 1 ranking.

So he holds some record but not every single one on the book.

If Medvedev makes it to the semi-final (finding a way past Sinner), Djokovic will fall to #5 in the world rankings.

He's done great things in his career but if he doesn't take next year's Aussie Open, I reckon that will be the farewell tour.

He could have had the record he craves if he didn't shit it from a needle, too.

Evans loses. Hammered in the third and fourth sets. Tbh I went to bed midway through the second and was surprised he won that as you could see he was struggling physically. Actually though he was going to resign after the first.

You can’t equate women and men’s tennis . No one gave a deck about Margaret court record until Serena Williams started to close in on it . Playing 3 set tennis compared to 5 sets is not equal . Plus Court played in a limited field of players in the Aussie open . Yes she was a great player but Novak is supreme . You’re clutching at straws with those other comparisons too . He’s the Goat . End of .

Yas. Dimitrov through. Would love him to win...doubt he will though.

I noticed Khachanov moaning at the ball boy when he was playing Evans. Seems a common trait.

She is so overrated . American media desperate to see a successor to the Williams yet almost ignoring Navarro who has great potential .

They've still got Jack Draper who, for a few years yet, they'll refer to as the "successor to Andy Murray", poor kid.

Draper looks like he is about to win easy and get through to his first QF

They'll be gushing even more over him now that he's reach the quarter finals. He's been impressive so far though, not losing a set all tournament, and not even been taken close in any set yet either. The draw's definitely been kind to him, with Alcaraz going out, but Machac is a pretty good player and winning 6-3 6-1 6-2 today is impressive. Could be facing Katie Boulter's squeeze, Alex de Minaur, next.

That should def be tougher. But as he played great today and he has that great leftie serve too.

DeMinaur's bagged his third bagel set in a row, walloping Jordan Thompson in the first set after his two against Evo.

Coming off knee surgery? He basically gave up his season to win that gold medal. Still think he has a grand slam or 2 in him. Just needs to rest up and come back 100% next year. If he doesn't win another tournament then so be it. Still the Goat with every accolade possible in tennis.

Margaret Court the old bigot who seems to only get mentioned when Novak reached 24. Yet she isn't mentioned as one of the best female players. Most GS's, most weeks at number 1, most season endings at number 1, most ATP final wins, only player to win every masters twice ( one Monte Carlo away from winning every masters at least 3 times ). People hate Novak for whatever reason they choose, but the history books will show the stats. Not the fact he didn't want to take the vaccine and probably cost himself a GS or 2, and helped Nadal get to 22 grand slams since he hadn't beaten Novak on a hard court since 2013 or thereabouts.

Facts aren't allowed when it comes to Novak. Because Roger has flair and Nadal is tenacious.

Can't stand Margaret Court but she has the titles. Not bothered about Novak but what he did with vaccine was his choice so nobody but him to blame for that.

Obviously yeh, but he stuck to his guns regardless. Makes that Nadal interview a year ago about Novak caring more about records than Nadal seem a little bitter. Despite the fact he took a stance that was definitely going to affect him participating in some GS's.

Fairly evenly matched but DeMin had to work harder on his serve than Draper had to on his own. It may sound like a statement of the bleedin' obvious but if it comes to a tie-break, that's the kind of slight edge that might make a difference.

Looks like DeMinaur is in medical trouble, grimacing and holding his hip, with medics ready to give treatment at next changeover

Posted (edited)

Boulter's man struggling with his hip. Hopefully a wee walkover coming soon. 😁

Oh wait, it's Draper that's got the physio 🤣

DeMin looked to have slightly tweaked his Butt-Ock when Draper put that nice little drop shot on the line but I reckon he was just reacting to the surprising and sudden change in direction. And losing the point.

Aces and forcing the errors; I think he just wanted someone to talk to at the change over.

Draper didn't seem to be bothered at all holding serve there, so hopefully it's nothing

It's a lonely life being a tennis player. Bet he was hoping he'd get a fit physio though and not the guy that came out...
