Samsung phone  with USB-C connection.

HDMI tv connection

I have just received the cable and plugged it in to both devices, but I am getting "no signal". Tried it now on 2 tvs.

I am getting  a similar cable later for my tablet (micro-b) connection.

What the hell is wrong??

USB, HDMI 1 or 2, AVI, that sort of jazz...

Yes, Hdm1 was empty but says "no signal".

Hdmi2 had my firestick showing, unlugged it and tried that with same "no signal".

Another thing to try is recently I got a new laptop and plugged my phone into it to footer about with files on the phone. Same set up as your telly. Wee usb on phone, big usb on laptop.

Couldnt find the phone listed on the laptop as a drive. Tried signing into the phone to see what the story was and found a permission thing in the notifications saying I had to allow the laptop to access my phone. Once Id done that tjen nk bother.

ive a Samsung phone.

My phone, (not a Samsung) I think, requires OTG to be switched on.

Seems to do settings on his phone.

to try what @Gulpener has suggested do the following

Settings > Connected devices > OTG. Here, click on the On/Off toggle to activate it.

you may need to do it when the cables are connected

Yeah, ive chromecast lying about fir years hardly ever used. I will set it all up again.

Its another powered device.

Liked the idea of a cable from one device to another, but hey-ho.

Still waiting on another cable to come today for my tablet, most likely the same outcome.

Does your phone have Samsung DeX on it. Check in Settings>Advance Features. If that's enabled the cable might work.
