Just realised that I’m in love with Eilidh Barbour and I don’t think this tournament will help me get over it 😔

You’ve missed that boat. Last week’s papers done their wall charts. I picked one up from a wholesalers I was in. A3 size, and glossy.

The Metro has a paper one in today's edition... again not very good quality.

I was hoping for a glossy one for the wall too.

She is tremendous.  I could go at least 3 weeks without cheating on that.

I heard an English commentator saying that excitement is at fever pitch in Scotland, particularly as we have England to play.

Is that accurate?  If so, I think that's great.  It's been such a miserable time with the virus that anything which gives people a lift has to be good.

If it's causing that level of excitement now, qualifying from the group would see it off the charts.

Nice one @Mikey1874

The BBC were too busy talking about 1966 to show the opening ceremony.

And we wouldn't mention if we had won a major trophy? Get over it.

To be fair to Mikey, they bang on about that trophy regardless of the tournament. It was for a World Cup, not the Euros. It's not relevant unless it was the last World Cup which it wasn't.

Fair enough. Although we still go on about beating the world champions in 67 so we are just as guilty of bringing it up.

Aye, right. 67 getting mentioned by any Scot's commentator or pundit is minuscule to the number of times the English commentators and pundits mention 1966.

I'm with Denis Law. If they have had to have qualified for 1966, they wouldn't have.

Nice boost for England by the Government.

Allowed 45,000 fans at Wembley for knock out games. Fan pilots.

Think it’s only semis and final that will have 45K. If they win the group, they will have the same as the group games, 22.5K, although there was only 18.5K at the Croatia game.

So their last 16 game will be at Wembley with 22.5K and if they win that, bear with me, it’s England 😂, they will go to Rome for the QF.

Hopefully it all collapses like a bad flan in the last 16 !

👍

Still making changes to squads allowed. England have changed a goalkeeper and Spain still have reserves in a training group after their Covid outbreak.

Laddie looks after himself.

One of the first to hire a nutritionist and dedicate his entire life to the game.

Sleep patterns, food, drink, exercise regimen outside of club training, the lot.

Faced with the imminent threat of the semi finals and final being moved from Wembley to Budapest, England are relaxing social distancing and quarantine rules.

:silviodamn:

2,500 UEFA and FIFA officials and VIPs will be allowed to travel to England from anywhere and mix around with no restrictions.

They'll be allowed to attend training sessions, have meetings with government ministers and anything else they feel like doing on their wee jolly.

From next week, the Schengen area is relaxing travel between all nations within it, allowing the 67,215 capacity Puskas Arena in Budapest to be completely full.

Wembley is stuck at 25% capacity for the moment.

Refereeing has been of a very high standard.

They've let a game flow as often as possible, kept their cards in their pockets and, probably the most glowing tribute, haven't really been noticed.

Oh to have that in Scotland.

Just reading about the proposal to move the games to Hungary thanks to Cade.

Really the best solution for the Government is for England to get knocked out as early as possible.

As ridiculous as it is, is the same UEFA that was waffling about football being "for the fans" when the ESL was being mooted?

How many officials does it need!??

I'm not sure why UEFA are even considering keeping the semis and final in England.

25% capacity at Wembley is only 22,500.

Move it to Hungary and you get max capacity 67,215.

Unlikely as it is I hope we get something from this.

Im fed up hearing how good England were but yet dismiss teams like Italy, Belgium and Holland who have played considerably better and Harry Kane's nose is too big and mouth too small, prick.

Really wish I could be that clever.  It also raises the prospect that we could have had Gordon in goals.
