I can guarantee Ross would take it. Has described him as "replaceable" which he very much is. Good luck to the laddie and hope he does well down south when he goes, but on the rare occasions I've seen him (against us and the cup final v St J), he's very average. Hibs don't half manage to bum up their players eh!!!! Maybe helps that they are media darlings but we could and should maybe do a bit better at this too!! In recent times, Hickey and Paterson could have earned us serious cash. I know each individual situation is different - Hickey's age worked against us as he was so young to break through he was basically still on his first contract, for example, but in general we could prob do better. Back to Doig - he didn't go direct from us as such did he? Like we don't have a Hickey-Celtic situ where we're due a cut or that? That'd be quite amusing but think we just released the kid didn't we? There is no way in hell that Hibs have turned down, what is it supposed to be now, £8m (??) for Porteous, Doig and Nisbet. I would sell all three in a second for that if they were our players. None of them are anything but hype right now. Nisbet looked the opposite of a 4m striker in his brief Scotland appearances. Doig and Porteous (and Nisbet) have flopped for HIbs in the big games.
