Josh Magennis penalty saved.   Blasted to the slight left, keeper stops it with his legs.    There's hope for Boyce with penalty taking like that.

Talking of penalties..... I noticed in Manchester utds Europa Cup Final that every penalty was blasted except for De Gea.  And whose penalty was saved?

Could do.    I'd go 2-1 Swiss rolls.

That n. Ireland game was rough.   Boyce still playing like a Scottish championship player.    Done one of his pass to an invisible teammate passes.

1-1 half time.  Missed a pen but the US have been the better side.

Don't think Smith was in the squad this time

Correct.   My mistake.   My score checker has M. Smith as #19. Flashscores.    Another source says it is Paul Smyth (Queens Park Rangers) as #19.    Also the squad list from an article has M Smith excluded.  With P Smyth included as a striker.    ☺

Lafferty named but was missing last night.    Maybe in the squad for the Ukraine match.

Despite Brazil's comparative fall from grace I still enjoy watching them.  There's just something magical.

Remember reading that in the old days, a squad was selected around a year from the World Cup and the selected players were withdrawn from their clubs.  They mainly trained on sand in Brazil and travelled to various parts of the world playing friendlies.

I don't know how much of that is accurate but I do know that all their players played in Brazil and were far more entertaining and successful than they are today.

I wonder how many overseas players play in the top flight in Germany and how many top Germans play overseas.  I get the impression that it's nothing like the set up in England.

The Czechs have just been given a new hoop by the Italians. Nothing to fear next week!

This booing, it seems going to lead the Scotland team to take the knee at the Euros.

Scotland stand against racism. Literally. No kneeling.

It's been discussed in squad. Clarke hinted at it after the booing at first England friendly

Players been taking knee in Scotland all season.

Not a friendly but I noticed that Harry Souttar scored the opener for Australia yesterday.  Took me very much by surprise.

Good win 3-1 for the Czechs against Albania this evening.

It's a positive result for them alright.   Against an in form team.   Will be a feisty encounter on Monday.

Croatia can easily change their form as well.    The friendly with Armenia wasn't a good result.    They did have plenty chances, very good chances.   I think they had a set plan to practice a certain attacking way.    It didn't work but they can change to a proper tactic.   They were dribbling straight into tackles alot for an example.    Not playing their usual passing game.    Was very direct.   A few  long balls as well.

Yeah,  it's going to be interesting where or if we get three points.

Last warmup match Portugal v Israel.   Jota in form.    I think they might win 4-0 with jota getting at least one.

Germany have been the best of England, Portugal so far.   Last chance to impress or enter the tournament as another bottle merchant like Poland.

I’ll presume you mean repeat?
I don’t know the score so that’s fine with me. I particularly enjoyed the old British commentator cliche of moaning about the Argentina keeper making too much of an injury. Only for him to get stretchered off after lengthy treatment.

Fernandes scores.   Cut back cross from the right wing.

The commentators saying they will struggle with having pepe up against the German/french forwards.   I agree.    He's been skinned for pace already.   Looks slow but still good defender.

2-0 Ronaldo now ☺

Whereas Tyrone Mings will get England to the final.

Looks like Fernandes and Ronaldo are the main men for goals.   Jota with a crap game, had chances didn't take them, subbed at half time.   They have a strong attacking midfield.    Will be better effective at counter attacking.

4-0 final score today :cool_shades:
