McGlynn The Money
Just catching up on the documentary. Really incredible stuff from the golden age of snooker. The tension, the characters and lots and lots of balls on show. Funny seeing how dour and unpopular Steve Davis was now compared with the national treasure he is today kent mean? Carl Fredrickson
Mentioned this on another thread - the 80s were a great time for "pub sports" and the high point were the Davis v Taylor match and when Jocky Wilson won the world darts championship. The snooker doc on Iplayer is a great watch.

No doubt Davis and Hearn epitomised the ‘greed is good and **** everyone else’ attitude that the Tory party to this day stands for but thankfully Davis has seen the error of his ways and is now a decent human being😁 Was a good image the aloof tory boy. Made it easy to root for the other guy. The English working class don't agree the tories represent the same thing as they did in 80s under Thatch btw. I know Sturge n co think they do but they also live vicariously off them.
