That comes as no surprise about Hugh Burns. I knew him a bit from when I lived in Ayrshire. Still trying to be the big shot. And trading on the whole Rangers connection. Last time I heard, he was running a boozer on Prestwick Main Street.

Not a total sitter, but would have been buried by any other player on the team. He was rubbish and a huge waste of money, but I didn't dislike him for that. The only Hearts players I have ever disliked have been the ones who clearly thought they were bigger than the club, were slumming it playing for us, and displayed an all-round bad attitude. There aren't that many of them - Tziolis, Kingston and Glenn Whelan spring to mind. What is really ridiculous is that the players who maybe really were slumming it a bit (Fyssas, Jankauskas, maybe even Rudi) genuinely seemed to like playing for us. But that chance was about 15-20 yards out on the half volley. I think it's the margin he missed it by is the reason folk remember it so vividly, it taken out a satellite. Agree last part. Tbf to tziolis, I think he just struggled with the pace and Intensity of the game. I don't think he was intentionally lazy or slow.

boy_in_maroon
See quite a few goalies mentioned on this thread, but for me it has to be Kenny Garland, how he got the nod to be No.1 when we arguably had the best keeper in Scotland at that time, in Jim Cruikshank. The problem with that view of Tziolis was that he absolutely bossed it in his first game or two. Looked like an absolute Rolls-Royce of a player. If he hadn’t done that, then his failure to turn up for subsequent games would have been more forgiveable.
dannymack
Never disliked any Hearts player. Questioned a few capabilities with some over the last 45 years but not to the point of disliking.

I hate tories, rapists, peodos, Brussels sprouts etc, However, there are a few dicks. In general, Not a fan of that Butcher atm. Brown, Goodwin and Craig were also arses and dislike Morelos ( probably as he scores v us all the time). For Hearts swanson and Whelan irked me, but compared to the list above they barley touched the sides. Interesting order you put your hates in. Watt-Zeefuik
Dislike is probably too strong, and it's funny to say about a captain of a great year, but Danny Wilson's attitude always rubbed me wrong. He rode out a terrible period at Hearts and was part of a great defence, but he always seemed aloof and trying to get himself back to Glasgow. Stu_HMFC
Hard to dislike or hate anyone who plays in maroon but that keeper from Man United had my blood boiling a good few times. Craig Wighton was well out his depth. Find it weird that someone has Marcus Godinho on their list WHY ? 😂
KyleLafferty
Found it hard to take to Larry Kingston. Bags of ability but rarely could be arsed. Tzolis was also in the same category. Then Sowah was god awful.
