I think next year we should do a legends match... for the 10 year anniversary...something like the cup winning team of 2006 v team of 2012 and all the profits going to MND charity in memory of Zal...

Very good idea!

Rudi to play half each

Or a select of players from each year and have other ex players play like Stevo and big Kev Kyle who would jump at the chance to play for us once again.

It was a relief when 19th May 2012 finally dawned. After 6 weeks of build up I couldn't take anymore of the tension and anxiety.

Thoroughly believed our lads would do the business but you can never be 100% sure about how a game will unfold.

By about 9pm that night I was exhausted by it all.

Genuinely have been on a 1-5 high ever since. It's always there, everyday, somewhere in the back of my mind. Magic, too, that it's the same for the Hibby, despite his protests to the contrary.

That final was a lifetime commitment; win or lose.

Summed it up perfectly there, exactly how I felt.

Been too long now though, some new memories need to be made, 2 Championships not cutting it

Better v. Hibs 2012 but I suspect they might not be up for it.

Thought Robben missing the penalty was the penalty shoot out. In the CL Final !

Took terrible abuse when I slurred, how long has this shoot out being going on ?

See the 4th goal, that is simply 2 words

Joy Unconfined,

Half time, a little bit on edge, game should be out of sight but somehow they get back in. Then those 5 mins, just pure adrenalin and a surge of energy I dont think I will ever feel again so long as I live.

The build up @martoon explains earlier then those 5 minutes, along with the 15 mins prior to kick off, stay with me always and what made that day even more special

He left Hampden early that day while I stayed and celebrated 🤣

I no longer wish him a happy birthday, it’s happy jambo day, he has hated his birthday ever since.

Spot on.

Been mentioned before but I haven’t witnessed a roar like that at any Hearts game. It was everything, the 4th going in, realising that was it, all in one moment. Magical.

I went more nuts at the goal at Anfield mind but that was a mass melee of arms and legs.

1998 was tearily special.....I’ll never ever forget it.

But 2012 was just sheer joy, elation and a level of happiness that I doubt will ever be matched at a Hearts match by me ever again.

A party like no other.

The 4th goal for me was joy mixed with pure relief. I knew at that moment it was done, there was no way back for them and the next 40 mins or so was just soaking it all in. Brilliant, brilliant, day.

I was doing the half time shoot out and we were lining up in the tunnel just before half time. The SFA guy told us to stay at the side when the players were coming off and not to engage with them. I couldn’t resist a smile and a alright Zal as he came towards me.
