To me it should be simple if its like that it should be foot position. Nice and simple.

Agreed.it is after all football. If someone onside by that definition manages to score a goal by some other legitimate means then it should be a goal.

Brenda. From mediocrity to immortality. Never warmed to the guy. But acknowledge his part in this achievement. Well done.

If you need to draw lines to work out if someone is offside then there is a problem

Keep it clear and obvious and ban the drawing of lines

Caught the last half hour or so. A magnificent goal and 2 world class saves from Schmeichel that his old man would be truly proud of.

Linekers a bit of a dick at times but his reaction to the goal and having to ask Shearer to take over from him at full time was real emotion.

Great times for Leicester just now. What a time to be a Fox.

His first save was unbelievable. I watched it 4 times and thought it hit the post.

Second save was brilliant too. Leicester are a story and a half. Lovely result for football.

Left a comfort zone to be properly challenged again. Ambitious.

Unlike Scott Brown who stayed in Scotland for cheap medals.

Celtic fans will still be livid that Rodgers left to be a successful at Leicester City instead of hanging around to go for their holy grail.
They weren’t all Neil Lennon when it went wrong either.

First save from the header reminded me of Gordon Banks save from Pele in the 1970 World Cup.

That’s the best save I’ve ever seen.

It was an incredible stop. The slightest of touches.

Tommy Brown

I always remember his save at Old Trafford.

Final couple of games and their title season could still come crashing down.

They go 1-0 down, Man Utd player fires a close range shot at the near post, Schmeichel somehow puts it round the post, amazing save.

Leicester get an equalizer and earn a great draw.

To sum up

A pretty average final lit up by a fantastic winning goal, 2 excellent saves and a bit of controversy from VAR re the disallowed equaliser

Lots of huffing and puffing without the quality that was hoped for

Both teams will do it all again in midweek and although no cup involved the prize could be even greater certainly in terms of finance.

All about opinions but I thought it was a fantastic match today.

Glad Leicester edged it.

Was happy they knocked it off, don't mind Leicester.

Other, that is, than when walking up Wembley Way after the Euro '96 game and one of them tried to goad me into saying the wrong thing, for a couple of hundred yards.

He must have got fed up with my congratulations 'cause I escaped unscathed. :(

Kasper is a smashing keeper, every part of his game is strong, one of the best in the world without a doubt. That second save was unbelievable, he reacted to it so fast coming through a crowd of bodies but had the strength to get it away from the goal. Unreal goalkeeping.

Congrats pal! Hope you enjoyed it. 👍

Cheers!

Not as good as 1998 or 2012 but better (a little!) than 2006!

Fair play to the Chelski players for staying on the pitch until the cup was presented!

It’s a bit weird that’s he’s nowhere near as tall as his dad but then you see his mum is tiny. Great GK and a lovely guy also.

I noticed that, good motivation tactic from Tuchel perhaps.
Great win, enjoy.

Tielemans is already a great player, plays well within himself and will only get better. Has more to offer in forward areas, will get a big move sooner rather than later.

No Idle Talk

I'm happy for Brendan Rodgers. He came so close at Liverpool and the way Celtic fans talk about him is a disgrace after everything he did for them. He's a quality manager and results like today confirm that.

And for the folk of Leicester who have pretty much been in a form of 'hard' lock down for a year.

Good day yesterday watching the outsiders get their rewards. Leicester winning the FA cup for the first time in their history and 48 year old Richard Bland winning a first European tour title at the 478th attempt.

Ever since they dug up Richard III, Leicester has been on an upswing.

Hughes usually finds some good laddies on loan, he brought Stokes up here too 🙈, Tim Krul too maybe, I think Peter came to watch him at Tynecastle.

I feel really, really sorry for these squillionare owners when their club misses out on a trophy.  I have to fight back the tears.

Chelsea look like losing three in less than a fortnight.  I'll be inconsolable.

The Leicester owner is hardly a pauper.

But that doesn’t hide the fact they recruit very efficiently and effectively 👍🏻

Just change the rule to just offside and the goal stands.😄

Just have common sense

In no way shape or form is someone being 1 millimetre ahead of the last defender (who could be 10 to 20 yards away) makes any difference to the play

If you can only decide by drawing lines then stick with the onfield decision

Personally I thought it was unnecessary and disrespectful. However it does not justify the racist abuse he is now receiving on Twitter (NB I don’t understand why any right minded footballer has a Twitter account).

The only other minor blot on a perfect day was the appearance of a Palestinian flag on the pitch at the end (which I assume was politically motivated).

Apart from these two ‘misdemeanours’ it was a perfect day for the ‘boys in maroon’!

Not surprised at all.
