What a joke. Let a handball go for the Leicester goal to then rule that out.

I did ask if they’d done a VAR check on the handball as it wasn’t mentioned or shown. That was insane to be an offside. Micromillimetres offside

It was a bit more pthough not much more. But that's the rule and the right decision given the rules.

This is when VAR becomes a joke

It has it's good points but anything that needs lines drawing should be banished

VAR justifies itself.

Obviously not if it had gone against us. But it was offside.

Yep.

Outside of active, inactive, 2nd phase, when the ball is played directly to you there is no subjectivity.

You are either offside or onside per the laws of the game at the time.

Whether the naked eye catches it or not when no technology is a different matter.

VAR is not football.

How was handball not picked up in lead up to Leicester goal?

It wasn’t a handball as it came off his leg first.

Onside is onside

offside is offside

MM’s,CM’s or inches makes no difference.

Haha a tiny bit more 🤣 , be interesting to here the reasoning behind no VAR on the winning goal.

Totally agree. It's not accurate enough to make that sort of decision.

I meant it was insane in terms of how good the ball and the run was.

After the two Schmeichel saves, you knew it wasn't going to be Chelsea's day. Dont be surprised if they beat Man City in the Champions league final though.

As I posted elsewhere it came off his leg before it hit his arm. Under the current laws if it hits the arm after another body part it isn’t a punishable handball.

Leicester have been in 4 previous finals and lost them all. In each of them, they wore blue and white in various combinations. Will a switch to maroon and white be a lucky omen for them ?

Well - my crystal ball was spot on !!🇱🇻

But isn't it if a handball leads to a goal, then it should be a foul?

Or was the time between the hand ball and the goal too long to deem it a direct impact?

Great for Leicester but adds further justification for the offside rule to be changed.

If any part of the body (you can score with) is onside, the flag should remain down. 90% of the player could be off but as long as part of them is onside, all should be good.

Cheers Tazio , i thought it was about the un-natural position of the arm. Makes sense that way though.

Not anymore but I'd still make a case for your arm being out perpendicular to you body being deliberate.

Edit: actually I'm not sure that law change has been implemented yet.

Not sure many Hearts fans would have seen it - weren’t we playing our own cup final at the same time or were they different kick offs?  I certainly missed Liverpool v West Ham because I was at Hampden.  Wish I’d missed this one!

Edit: last couple of minutes has been better and now an offside VAR to top it off!

I was at Hampden. Amazingly both Cup finals went to penalties.

Tears in the chairman's eyes, thinking perhaps of his father and also they are fans.

This is how to run a football club, understanding the fans and, while I did not like the Lizard, he is a manager.  Even when forced back still playing football and, as for Vardy, he must have run twice as far as anyone else.
