Would like it if we tried to refrain from wasting money on dross next season 👍

Lewis Moore could have and should have been used instead. Total waste of time and money.

What I don't understand is what did Robbie see in him that made him want to sign him? Surely you check to see if he would fit in with your playing strategy before wasting money. It seems too much like levein, sign and see if he fits in, if not loan him out. Too much has been wasted on this trial and error system and it has to stop. Sign only players who will improve the team.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Frear was someone Robbie had been after for a while? baffling if that's the case because he was absolutely hopeless.

Glad he won't be staying. Damour next :)

Gordon Ramsay

Said on another thread, rubbish and not the standard required, even for the Championship.

Damour, White, Popescu and Roberts next please.

No Idle Talk

He scored a nice goal away at Alloa. I can't think of too much else he did in his time here, sadly.

It seems he has been missing his family who are in the south of England so hopefully he can be reunited with them now and kick on with the remainder of his career.

Just thinking about that wage thieving **** gives me the rage. Hope he leaves Hearts and doesn’t get another club for the rest of his career.

This all of these will be gone.

Wonder why we only announced Berra and Cochrane on twitter though.🧐

Bizarre signing.

Yes. No idea why he was signed. Moore was perfectly capable of doing his job, possibly even better. Another wage squandered for no reason.

I'll put him in the Ryan Edwards category of "why" signings.

Happy with this news but not too excited as it is just a case of when not if we sign another expensive dud.

I would not trust our coaching staff, managment team or scouting network (almost spat my cup of tea out typing that) to identify, recruit and sign any decent player.

We needed more wide players so from that perspective it seemed like a low-risk signing a guy on a one-year deal who has played at the level above previously. Moore or Calumn Morrison would have been far better though at less of a cost. Glad he's gone.

Ah, that rings a bell.  No shock that they are in Italian's 3rd tier.  Useless wage stealing *****.

If it was not so real i'd be laughing my tits off at how we let that happen.

Hopefully we can convince some club to take him off our hands. He played at a decent level for Cardiff so he'll be known to some down south. I don't think it would be too much to expect some sort of transfer fee, even nominal just to save a wage and free up some space.

100% cover should be coming from the academy going forward, too many squad filler players we need a few signings which will actually improve the first team.

Thankfully GMS looks like he might be starting to come good on that.

I used to just hate Old Firm and Hibs players.  How sad that I hate so many Hearts players now.

Players who I actually despise in the Budge era:

Craig Wighton

Maluary Martin

Loic Damour

Isma Goncalves

Juanma

That ROI player who joined us and thought he was too good and performed poor every game

And countless others I have forgotten

Nielsen said prior to his signing he wanted wingers so brought in Frear and Roberts.

think the assumption was that Frear would be a step up from Moore.

I would rather we gave Moore a go - he certainly seemed to have urgency and stamina in his game under stendel.

what we don't know is what happens behind closed doors. possible Moore and Nielsen had a fall out.

Our signings will be limited because of the people signing them.

By limited I mean in talent.

I agree. Sometimes people forget that players are actually people with families. I wish him well.

Not what I have heard. Finance stopping us getting some over the line.

Never really happened for Frear obviously had his family issues to contend with.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, it just doesnt happen.

C'est la vie. Ill wish him well.

Just yet another in a long line of horrendous signings. Hopefully Savage has looked at our chronic recruitment process and made changes.

Yep that seems to be the problem. Large gap between market value and our new philosophy.

He's got form for it: he did the same with Sammon.

That is inevitable but many on here wanted the change.

It's hard to believe we can have a "one size fits all" and I'm fairly sure it doesn't apply with signing on fees.  Supply and demand will be the dictating factor in hiring matters.

Do many players still get signing on fees?
