I look forward to the club urging Hearts supporters to return to away fixtures.

That’ll come.

Quality.

Another Fred that has turned into  slagging everything Hearts and to see who can out seethe each other.

Do folk just wake up angry and then look to get angrier about Hearts.

One might think  These folk need to watch Man citehh or Utd and calm down a bit.

Stop goading, Tosh.

It’s a simple question; were Thistle right to ban Doncaster ?
If yes, then why on Earth did we allow him in ?

The criticism of the club in allowing that parasite in is wholly justified.

I wouldn't have banned him.

I would have lined up piss filled water balloons and fired them at his heed.

However, as Hearts are a professional club I expect them to behave in such a way, even if it goes against my emotions.

Class is permanent.

League below, class above.

The answer is we were playing an SPFL game.

Great from Thistle, their demotion was the craziest of them all with how tight it was and the game in hand.

Did we definitely have Doncaster in the building at the Inverness game? Never saw hide nor hair of him on the match-day stream, just that boy with the untucked shirt who put the trophy on the podium.

Well done Partick.  We missed another great opportunity to show some backbone and maybe even galvanise the support.  Not surprising really after we loaned out Bobby and invited John Nelms to the hospitality.  Budge needs to GTF ASAP.

Quite happy for Doncaster to be there and see the ridicule that we had got trophy presentation.

Quite happy for Partick to tell Doncaster to get lost.

Both equally as good as each other in getting point over.

Wouldn't have mattered what Hearts did, the usual suspects would have complained and said we should have done something else.

We don't want season tickets purchased, we don't want players bought, we want FoH payments stopped, we don't want dignitaries in our stadium, get rid of all the players, the owner and the manager and now we want to be Patrick Thistle.

I'm not buying into this plan kids.

I agree too. As for the clubs who looked to have a big away support when the Hearts came to town they can sook it. That's why I'm glad no fans were allowed in to the grounds. Made sure that any potential boycott was 100% effective.

That’ll come.

You'll have to forgive me, but I'm not sure what you mean by the above. Do you mean HMFC will urge our own support to return to away fixtures, or Partick Thistle will urge Hearts fans to return to fixtures at Firhill. Given that Partick will be going back into the division we are just leaving I'm guessing you mean HMFC asking our fans to go to away fixtures.

The intention was not to go to many away fixtures in the season just ended, to prevent money going to certain clubs. However, the pandemic meant we were unable to travel to any away games anyway, so no club benefited financially from us being in the Championship.

Over the course of the last week I've been dealing with a number of bus providers to make sure that once the new season starts, and a date is confirmed as to when fans can go to away fixtures we will be ready to rock and roll, and an arangement is now in place with our chosen bus provider. However, there may be a situation where we don't go to all away games, and if I'm honest the one fixture that sticks out as potentially one which HMFC fans are asked not to purchase tickets for is the game(s) at Easter Road, and that might test some of the HMFC support.

I suspect our first away trip, which will be on an LRT bus rather than a private coach, will be the friendly game which I believe has been arranged against Whitehill Welfare at Rosewell. Thereafter we will be intent on being at whatever location HMFC are playing at, depending on restrictions put in place, be that in terms of crowd numbers allowed at Tynecastle and whether or not fans will be allowed to travel to away games. The club won't have to tell us to go, we want to be there, it was why the week was set out as it was, i.e. working Monday to Friday with the weekend set aside for socialising with friends and going to football matches, and the last year of not being able to go to Tynecastle or travel away has been a huge pain in the ass.

Supporters should travel to away fixtures, assuming away fans allowed, as they see fit - I know I plan take in my normal number of away games.   If some want to boycott that’s their choice as well.

They didn't benefit through voting for us to be demoted, they received support from HMFC fans for having the balls to stand up and say no to what was being proposed by the arseholes who control the game in this country.

I don't disagree with anything you say above Dave. I hadn't read through the full thread before I originally posted so was just a little bit confused by the original post I responded to. I don't know if something had been said earlier in the thread about not going to games and just detailed my position. However, I agree totally if people don't want to travel that is 100% down to them, it is their choice. I just want to get back to going to football matches, every weekend if possible, this last year has been a strain.

Sorry let me be clearer, apologies.

I can see the club asking supporters to stop boycotting away games to the clubs who voted in our worst interests.

That is of course if people do boycott certain clubs.

Was not and would not judge individuals like yourself who are planning buses etc for away fixtures next season.

He was able to see first hand just how offhand players and club were with lifting trophy.

You knew that though, you just couldn't resist getting dig in.

The Partick players could wear celebratory tshirts, run round pitch dancing with trophy, and some on here would praise them, while kicking their own club.

One thread I'm clinging to is that we had no choice in the matter. As an SPFL official we are duty-bound to allow him into the stadium. I don't know if that is the case or not.

If we actually had a choice and invited him to be there that is up there with the worst 'reading of the room' our current board have been involved with.

I think that this could be the case. If the SPFL want to observe a match, i don't see how we could stop them. He didn't appear on the pitch or near the presentation itself.

Partick are not having their presentation on a match day. They can deny entry to anyone.

There's little doubt that Doncaster would have thought twice about turning up if the stadium was full.

Are Partick not an SPFL team so how are they stopping him coming?  It said in the newspaper report they were lifting the trophy after their game with Montrose.

The vast majority of Hearts fans would have much preferred if Budge had made a stand and told Doncaster to FO as Partick have done.

As for the alleged off hand attitude of the players, that was a poor substitute - that’s my opinion not a “dig”!

As for your last comment.....😂

Is it not just that they are not having any official involvement from Spiffle at their trophy award, which woudn't necessarily be the case? While Donkeystar can bluff his way in as long as he buys his own pie?

Mind you, I assume they have to get the trophy itself from Spiffle.

Tom English was excellent too and he will get that interview.

Broadfoot is an utter tool and McColl treated him with the contempt he deserved.

Yup loved the jibes at Kenny Mac too. The line about Tom being the only credible journo was spot on too even if he said it tongue in cheek.

Just seen the news, late as usual, about Thistle not only forbidding any representatives of the SFA or the SPFL from attending their trophy presentation, but also publicly stating that decision. Excellent for them! A shame we couldn't have done the same.

There is a good arguement that we were right and Partick were wrong.  Prolonging bitterness is never likely to be beneficial to either party.

Not saying which side of that arguement I'm on though.

I completely agree with the bit in bold, but not inviting the SFA or SPFL along to this particular trophy presentation after what happened last year seems the reasonable thing to do, imo.
