Don’t know if he is a Jambo, but he’s definitely an Edinburgh man. His brother was my late uncles best friend. 🤷‍♂️

I think Hearts were his team as a youngster

What's your views on Paul Pogba?

Would take him, think he’d link up well with Beni in the middle of the park.

Yeah, I know we always like to say he is Jambo deep down.

But Hearts never featured in his career other than opponents.

👍

He had a house at Otterburn Park round about the time he was Rangers manager. No idea how often he used it but my dad done a bit of work in it. Could still have it for all I know.

Should be good but worth noting it doesn't look like it's our Robbo and there's no refunds.

He also lived in Colinton for a bit around that time… in fact IIRC, I think he put up Mo Johnston there, for a while!

Sensible move to get Mo this end of the M8.

I'm sure his brother used to come in to the laundrette my mum worked in, to get the strips washed for a team he ran.

A guy I worked with some time ago went to school with him in Saughton. He said Souness was a Hearts fan but played all the time so didn't go to Hearts games.

When Souness was homesick at Spurs there was talk he was coming to us, but he went to Middlesbrough instead.

Going to Rangers he became a Rangers fan ILiverpool are his first choice, though)

He grew up in Saughton 3 doors down from my Dad's best mate.

He was a Hearts fan, but didn't go that often as he was always playing.

Saughton Mains not Saughton. Saughton Mains and Broomhouse were all Broomhouse 60 years ago.

Klopp would pick Graeme Souness before starting Woodburn in the first team.

Probably 😄

I don’t see the issue some have with Klopp. He’s their player. Absolutely they should do as they think they need to. Klopp had issues last season when his defensive line was decimated with injuries, and seemingly they are not flush to add many players. If he wants to take time to assess how his midfield assets are set for coverage this term.. it’s his prerogative to do so. If the opportunity exists thereafter and BW comes to Hearts.. great.

As did I when it was a Balgreen/Stenhouse take on against Broomhouse.  He was always in the Broomhouse ranks.

Five years between them but I’m pretty sure Sounness and Sandy Jardine (known as Billy in those days) played against each other a couple of times as well

This is great.  Had never imagined we'd have a Graeme Souness this is your life thread.

Can we bring the Souness chat (interesting as it is...) to a close now?  Thread's got a stack of useless material in it already.

My mate stayed very close to his home. Used to see Souness driving his Jag on Westgarth Avenue.
