Got to be big congratulations tonight, crowned champions without kicking a ball!!!

The season had a lot of downs, but one big up, we got what we didn't deserve in relegation, but we're now back and lets get settled before the start of the next campaign!!!

Not everyone will be glad of what we've managed, but tough s**t to them, welcome home the JAMBO'S!!!!!

Well at least we won it with a bang last night. Now tell Doncaster to pitch up at Tynecastle to present the trophy - we will have a warm welcome ready for the ****!

Nope, the objective was to win league and get back to where we were before our unfair demotion.

Yes, it would be great to still be in Cup, but overall, getting out of championship at first attempt was 100% the overwhelming focus of club.

If you can't accept that, and your dislike of Robbie Neilson/Mrs Budge means you can't be happy tonight, then you must be miserable most of time.

Just woke up to the news we’ve won the championship. Fantastic to get it over the line.

Horrible season in even worse circumstances but we now have the chance to right some wrongs and kick on.

Whatever happens:

WE. ARE. BACK!

All I can say is THANK **** THAT'S OVER.

Now we better get ourselves sorted out as there are a number of scores to be settled next season.

I will never forgive or forget.

You and I could have got out this league.

Should we not have tried to be getting ready for the step up to the SPL whilst pissing this league?

You must be easily pleased and have a very low opinion of what is required at Heart of Midlothian FC.

Personally, I would have settled at the start of the season for easy promotion. And that’s what we’ve done. But since the Brora game it’s all turned sour, so the Prosecco is staying in the fridge.

I don’t think we could have signed spfl standard players for this league no matter how big we are. Plus starting in October didn’t help. I don’t want Neilson there but guess he will be, so I’ll see what he does in the summer .

To the other championship clubs who voted us down and saw us as a cash vow, **** you all, you got nothing and we won't ever forget how we were treated. Enjoy your medicine, you *****.

Since when?

We were entered in 4 competitions.

This seems to be a narrative that's growing in popularity, but I can't remember anyone saying it until after the Brora game.

If it's true no doubt you'll be able to supply a link.

Thanks in advance.

not one person even got as far as considering cup losses to Brora and Alloa. A completely unfathomable prospect.

Bloody hell man - be grumpy about Neilson and Budge for the other 364 days of the year.  We've won the Championship today and I for one is very happy about that regardless.

We can put the '13th best in Scotland' trophy beside the 4 Rosette Knife and fork award for our restaurant. The Ann Budge era is very fruitful.

Another trophy in the cabinet for the famous.

Nah, for a team normally in the Premiership, winning the Championship doesn't really count as a trophy.

Why don't we get relegated every second year and then win the Championship to come back up. That way we could fill the trophy cabinet in no time. ;)

Great to win the league and get promoted at the first time of asking, after the s**t show that was last season. It hasn't been the best of seasons, no doubt, but the main goal has been achieved, comfortably. For that everyone involved gets my congratulations. As others have mentioned, being in the second tier of Scottish football and the season not starting until October certainly didn't help our ability to bring quality players to the club. Now we're back in the top flight the challenge is to build a team capable of a top 6 finish, and develop on from there. Interesting times ahead.

It's ironic that we've won the league due to other sides not winning! The story of the season.

Seems a hollow victory to me this one.

Since when have Dundee Utd become a benchmark for Hearts?

Hibs got out when no Hearts or Rangers, Rangers got out with no Hearts. We had no competition this season.

I feel contentment at being back where we belong after those buggers threw us out of the Premiership last year. No more than that, to be honest, and certainly not cracking open any champagne. I have nothing against those who want to celebrate though - we all react in different ways.

I half thought we'd won the league because we accumulated more points than our rivals but there we are..... every day's a learning day.

Aye I can understand those that want to ram it in the faces of others. I just don't feel that way with how things are at the moment. The league was won a long time ago.

League has been won about 5 times.

Before a ball was kicked.

6.2 game against Dundee confirming that rest would not be up to much.

When we beat Ayr and got to a points total no other team will get to.

Last night when the last remaining 'pant wetter' realised that actually we wouldn't be caught.

Today, officially.

Wattie we both the generation who watched the team in 70s and early 80s, our support is not in question.

The way we were voted down to this league, the skullduggery involved and the, largely, uninspiring season we've had makes it's difficult to be over enthused.

Just relieved this season was a short one and that it's over.

Hopefully, the last time Heart of Midlothian will ever be in the 2nd tier.

Hopefully, change is afoot.

It has been a wasted season following our expulsion, but well done as it is mission accomplished. We must never forget what certain clubs did to us. In terms of getting excited, this is better than winning the Musselburgh Fives, probably on a par with winning the East of Scotland Shield, but nowhere near as good as winning the Tennents Sixes for the first time!

I tell you what, this day has been a long time coming since beating Dundee 6-2.   My only observation is that Robbie did not plan expeditiously enough to break down stonewall defences.  Too conservative (with a small "c"). Needed a dead ball specialist at #10 as Hearts were never going to walk the ball into the goal.  Hendo's goal yesterday was the first piece of pace I've seen this season.

Well done, eventually.

Back where we belong. Sit back, enjoy. Have a wee smirk to ourselves that all the fans that were so smug when we were voted out of the league aren't ever going to be in a ground to rub it in our faces.

Maybe even put the guns down for 24hours and just enjoy the simple pleasures of knowing the club we love has done what is required and won't be stuck down here a second longer than necessary. All the arguments and pot shots at the club can wait for another day.
