Stendelnator
Has to play every minute for the rest of the season, in midfield. He was out for such a long time and the lack of minutes he’s been given this season is absolutely bizarre. There were signs of the old Haring on Saturday, unfortunately too many others weren’t at it but he’s such an important player, we just need to get him games. He had a shocker at Dundee in January but the inconsistency of selection has harmed him badly. Another example of mismanagement this season
fast_blood
It's hardly ideal giving a player minutes in competitive games and the dundee game proved that. Reserve games have been a miss for him. I agree though that we're a better team with him playing. Hopefully he can kick on from here.

milky_26
this is another problem with not having won the league yet. if we had won the league by now we could play haring, souttar along with some youngsters without any pressure to give them games to get back up to where they were and try the younger players out in the first team
Cruyff
He had a good game on Saturday. Agree with the OP, has to play every game between now and the end of the season so he can get a bit confidence back now that he is fit. Then next season he can get a full pre season and he will be hopefully 100% the same big Pete who is one of our best players.

If Haring could play a good chunk of minutes to the end of the season that would be good to see. It would set him up well for preseason and getting back to where he was next season. Hopefully Souttar can get a few minutes towards the end of the season. Although, no pressure on him. Would rather he took his time. Maybe get McGill a few minutes too actually. Robbie gave him some game time then he disappeared. Would be nice to see the lad given a chance in a less pressured environment (i.e if the league can be won sooner rather than later). Ccjambo1874
As a side. Irving shouldn't be playing any more if he is still stalling on a contract. He's been below part the last couple of games also. Halliday and Haring beside Mcgill to give him a bit of experience wouldn't be awful if we are persisting with this 3 man midfield. Why do we allow teams this freedom and wait until they put in a cross or shot before trying to stop them? What is wrong with tackling up the park so they don't get near our defense? The defense and keeper should be the easiest jobs in the team if all the mids and strikers did their bit.

We were much better with 2nd balls on Saturday and he clearly contributed to that. Would like to see him in there with McEneff and two wide players either side. 4-2-3-1 is overkill against parked buses. Our central defence continues to be the biggest concern imo (Halkett and Popescu in particular).

Halliday had a 5 or 6 months off from full training having been part of the fittest squad in Scotland at Gerrards Rangers. He wasn’t injured. Haring on the other hand, had been injured / unable to even run without pain for basically 2 years. Anybody that knows anything about fitness would understand the difference. The 2 situations are not comparable. Haring is only just now showing he has got a bit of power back in his legs, that’s how long it’s took. And even against Brora he was sluggish. The one thing we can all agree about Haring is, it’s good to see him getting through a full season injury free and taking forward steps again. He could be a major player for us next season as long as he keeps on track. Would love to see him have a few good games before the end of the season as when he’s at his best he’s a great player to watch.

But he has been given some major opportunities at various junctures in the season where he’s had the chance to come in and perform, state his case, but it’s not happened. But against Dunfy maybe we saw the first green chute of recovery, the first real sign of a Peter Haring revival every Hearts fan would love to see irrespective of who’s the manager. JamboBoy
Haring has been treated abysmally by the management at the club. It was our club management who played him a cup final when he was clearly in no physical condition to have done so. Ironically if he had played the whole match we may well have won that match. Very much like our previous Austrian player, Thomas Flogel, he has superb technical skills way beyond most at the club. His career has been severely hampered by the long term impact of the decision to have played in that match. In other words I firmly believe the club has a lot to answer for. What upsets me most is that yes he had a stinker against Dundee but he was not the only one that night. Also how many stinkers have the likes of Halkett, Popescu, Smith, Kingsley, White, Halliday, Mackay Steven had yet they still have seen regular game time. Mackay Steven in particular has been howling from the very start and yet he is in there every week regardless. Haring is by a country mile our best midfielder when he is on his game and must be given as much game time as possible to get him back to where we and no doubt he also wants to be. It was daft, but was likely due to trying to do too much to impress after being left on the bench for months despite being fit. You're point about Brora is simply not true. He was our best defender in that game. Although the whole team was poor, he was probably in the top half of our performers. The law paragraph is nonsense too.
