Upstairs in the V&A which is largely empty, just like Dens Park on a match day!

Can’t believe they’ve embossed their stadium in to the design the year after we did it with the Inter top.

They are like the annoying wee brother that just copies everything you do!

Odd when it’s your main rivals.

Weird small club mentality

Was my first thought.

Can't ever have an original idea, just wait and copy what we do 😂

I'm at a loss with the new and most recent Hibs home tops, I just don't get why anyone would want a map of Edinburgh or a picture of a stand (???) on the top. Hibs have had some decent tops down the years, I don't see the point in saying a top's horrible just because it's Hibs', but these two are made worse by the pointless addition of images. The fake mock-up posted on here last week was better.

They’ve had more honking strips than good. I thought the map concept was quite good but the stand looks horrific.

Going off topic I know, but I genuinely think ER is a decent ground.

You know the Gorgie Road stand isn’t the same as the school end?

Likewise the Main Stand isn’t the same as the Wheatfield.

Take away the minging colour and ER is alright IMO. The league would be way more marketable if we had more grounds like Tynie and ER. Look at Pittodrie and Fir Park ffs.

Anyway, new kits.

A small dip in the ceiling of two other wise pretty identical looking stands and the expected difference between a main stand and the one opposite it are not a big deal compared to stands at different distances to each other and big cut off corners ..................... it just does not look like one entity

Motherwell FC 2022-23 Macron Home Kit

Totally agree. The top would look better with ‘Well’s traditional white shorts in my view.

There again, I think that about any ‘Well jersey. Not a fan of their coloured shorts - claret or amber!

I don’t think white is the traditional colour of their shorts, I just checked out http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Scottish_Football_League/Motherwell/Motherwell.htm as I genuinely wasn’t sure myself. They seem to mix it up quite a bit.

I think their kit looks better with white shorts though.

They do seem to have gone with white shorts (with the exception of a couple of seasons) between the 1890s - late ‘60s.

For me, I suppose white shorts were part of the Motherwell kit when I first saw them play Hearts. I thought the two kits together looked great.

’Well had a kit a few seasons back which turned the clock back…

New font is terrible and just so characterless, should've just fixed the lion and spacing like Motherwell did with their badge a few months ago

This might be the thread for it…any good websites for “cheap” football kits? Used to use Our VIP’s but it’s shut down.

Had a couple off soccer000 (used to be soccer00, they added a zero for some reason).

Really good, was happy with them for the tenner a shirt they cost!

Used to use SoccerLord, which were magic kits, but they're about £30 a shirt now, which defeats the point entirely!

You can still find good deals on Classic Football Shirts. I've picked up plenty of kids ones from there.

When you use the search bar, input 'BNWT' or 'BNIB' to filter on the items that are Brand New With Tags/Brand New In Bag. 😉

Best website there is soccer000. Also added a zero cause I think they were close to getting busted?

Suppose £30 isn’t too bad when the real deal is going for £70.

I was looking at Soccer Fairy. They seem to be £20 a top.

Given we win more derbies there than they do, I'm also inclined to agree that that hovel of a place, routinely packed to the rafters by about 6,000 jakeball 40 something year-old students and their son/nephew hybrids and sitting in the middle of the shitiest area of our otherwise glorious capital city, is decent, yes.

Maybe you should reflect on the fact that a good number of fellow Jambos live in and around that “shitiest area”…

Of course, compared to the real deal, it's fine, but if I want a hooky shirt, I want to be getting it for a tenner

I take exception to the fact that SoccerLord used to sell shirts for £13, and I think I eventually bought 7 or 8 shirts in total from them (we even had a JKB discount at one point, someone managed to set us up with 10% off because they knew the guy running it, or something equally mental).  They are very good replicas, but that is what they are, replicas.  I'm not sure how they can justify putting the price up 2.5x for something that still isn't the genuine article, and I'll probably stick to Soccer000 or any others recommended on here for something to wear to the gym or to 5s.

What are SoccerLord like for quality/closeness to the real thing?

The wee man wants the Real Madrid kit for next season with Modric’s name and number on the back. He’s going to be spending his birthday money, but it’s £125 ****ing quid for the genuine one, and I really want to avoid him having to pay that because it’s ridiculous for a 9 year old’s football kit! It’s £43 quid for the full thing on SoccerLord, just curious to how good a copy it would be, because he’s a nippy little shit and his attention to detail etc is so good.

Don’t want to fork out for a replica and have him raging and end up having to buy the real thing anyway.

I can't vouch for them in recent years, but they were absolutely spot on when I ordered 4 or 5 years ago.

The prints didn't dissolve in the wash, the fit was like the normal one, same sizing, same attention to detail.  Nothing obvious out of place, and the ones I got still have the sponsors and numbers on the reverse, only one of them has started to dissolve a wee bit, but he'll have grown out of it long before that happens.

I reckon they were genuine ones snuck out the back door.  I'd chance it, just be prepared for it to take up to a month for delivery.

I’ve never used that site myself but when I’ve bought copies from other sites I really couldn’t tell the difference.

The only thing that is a dead give away if you pay attention to detail like that, is the labels on the inside seams are not the correct ones, and they're the same on all the different brands, no matter if it's Adidas, Nike, Puma, or whatever. It is just a generic label with the washing instructions, but if he notices that, then you have bigger problems

Cheers lads, appreciate it. I might try and convince him he wants to get the replica and just be up front with him, not worth the hassle or the abuse I’ll get if he ends up noticing! 😂
