Mind we applauded a consolation goal he scored at Easter Road because the Hibs fans had done their fire drill.

Was that a new year's game that finished 3-1?

It was a 3-1 but don’t think it was New Year.

Thanks.  I remember us cheering there goal and also singing 'one alex Miller.

Though you could pick many games from that time where that could've happened.

The formality years.

scored a peach in the east of Scotland shield - might have been his first ever senior goal

we were 2-0 up blew a 2 goal lead and lost on penalties allowing hibs to win their first east of Scotland shield in 1 year (probably)

:(

Don't recall, bud. He barely registered with me.

Only game I could suggest was a 3-1 win at ER in August 1986 (the one with the Lochend Vice Hibby).

We were 3-0 ahead that day and Hibs got a late consolation. McBride got the goal.

Ah!

Wasn't there, but know the game you're referring to. August 1980, I believe.

My first derby, aged 13, was a little over a year later when we beat them 2-1 at ER. Also EoSS, but the semi final.

We beat Meadowbank 5-0 in the final a few months later.

That apart, 1981-82 was a disaster.

That’s the one! I went with guys from Dunfermline that I met on holiday that year. A litre of Lambrusco in London road gardens before the game 😂

Hamilton's manager talking about unfairness lol.

I'd like to think our manager spoke like that in the dressing room sometimes, mind you.

Isn’t he ex #obo? I never saw the penalty incident so I really can’t say. But if I was to hazard a guess I’d guess it was a penalty and he’s a blethering $#!thead.

Pressure starting to take its toll.

He'll end up unwell with all of this stuff on his shoulders if he doesn't chill.

Agreed, he’s probably spot on as well. I haven’t seen it and probably won’t as I don’t really give a shit about Hamilton but he left Hibs early enough to save himself from eternal Fester Road damage. Brian Clough signed him for Nottingham Forest and he could play.

We played Forest in a testimonial game at Tynie, Rice scored as they beat us 3-0, seem to recall he got a polite round of applause 😓

Did he not score a late equaliser in the EoS.

2-2 at Tyney 1980?

The vermin won on penalties.

He did, Tommy.

I'd only considered competitive games and it didn't fit in with @Toxteth O'Grady's memory anyway.

Peakybunnet

Remember playing Nottingham Forest in a friendly in 1988. Brian Rice was in their midfield and was magnificent. We were thrashed 3-0.

After that it all went downhill for him.
