Jkb, what are you all looking forward to, post pandemic?

Simply for me, a big feck off mega plate of carvery, washed down with 2 hrs worth of cider. giphy.gif

And going back to watch Scotland and Hearts. giphy.gif

Not long now 👍

Going to mates house with everyone there, getting pissed and stoned together.

Being able to pop into the pub for a couple on a Saturday afternoon.

Not that interested in being able to travel to watch hearts just now, but being able to travel to visit my family is the top thing I'm looking forward to.

Meeting mates in the pub or going to eat out.

I'm sick of home cooked food and takeaways.

Being able to go to gigs again would be nice but realistically I can't see that happening until next year.  Likewise, I think overseas holidays are dead in the water.

The pub tbh. Would be lying if I didn't have that in there. Being able to see my folks, go out for dinner and just being able to go to someone else's house would be nice.

Also got a Stag Doo up north I've been planning for July which would be really good if I could do that.

The swimming pool and some live events.  I think they'll be an explosion of cultural events after this.  Can't wait.

My sons went back to their PS football last Saturday. Was great to see all the year groups back playing and enjoying themselves.

My lad is at the age group that has been completely shafted. He's under 20's. Luckily he's been signed to the first team so can train with them when they resume but can't train with the U20's. It's a complete joke.

I'm looking foward (well not looking forward but it will be interesting) to the reactions on here when it finally dawns on people there not getting there freedoms back and will have to fight to get them back...history tells us this.

Going swimming and more broadly seeing friends and family.

I'll miss the propaganda though, hopefully they replace it with a something else.

The Highland hills

Pubs

Gigs

Meeting up in large groups again

Seeing Hearts play again but that is something that I am not in a great hurry to achieve right now 😉

I get the same feeling here that it will be a long time before we were just like we were say in 2018. The talk here is that masks will probably still be recommended for some time, there are so many variants that these will also take some time to wipe out. I hate to be negative but life as we have known it because of this shocker will leave a sense of paranoia and an authoritarian rule of hoped for control of any spread. I am not an advocate of any of this, but one would have to agree it may be necessary.

That's mental. Hopefully his development hasn't been hindered.

Another football related thing to look forward to: genuine crowd sounds again. Hate the piped stuff on the TV.

Him and many others have basically lost a year. Once they start back I reckon I'll be watching Whitehill Welfare on a Saturday if Neilson is still in the picture.

Either of you got any coaching credentials or happen to play centre half? Take your boots.

My youngest is only 12 and a Goalie for Spartans U13s. I'm 58 next month and far to old school for the modern footballer.

For me it's not especially the ability to do anything in particular.  It's much more to do with doing stuff without having to think,  check or plan.

Spontaneity is freedom.

Going back to games certainly isn’t on the list.
Playing golf again as the weather improves, just doing all the things we can’t just now.

I think the fact you don’t realise you’ve always been the subject of propaganda shows it works.
Swimming in the sea seems to be the thing these days, bash on 🥶😜

Seeing our only child.

She lives in Vancouver and a year is the longest we’ve ever been apart. It’s 2 years in May since we’ve seen her

Also finally getting to go to the Scots Malt Whisky Society 😀

Our first child is due in 2 weeks and my sister had her first child in January so meeting up with the family for BBQ & drinks will be nice. Other than that just really miss our Thursday club few pints with the boys.

When able to we are going to have a large family BBQ & piss-up.

Going out for meals.

Holiday's abroad, although we have wrote off this year already, next year, perhaps, and it'll be the must see places/trips, first up (if I get my way) Cairo, Pyramids, Saqqara and all around that area.

Getting my travelling boots on again. I think that hitching may be off the agenda for a while now though - I imagine that folk will be very loathe to pick up hitchers given Covid, and that will be the case for a few years to come.

Going out and eating a meal that hasn't arrived in a plastic tub and that somebody else has cooked for me.  Not having to clean the kitchen afterwards.

Getting back to 7-asides on a Tuesday night.

Meeting the boys for a few pints in the Golden Rule before heading to Tynecastle.

Pints in the club with the boys after a round of golf without limited to how many are at the table or in the room.

Wandering to the local on a Friday late afternoon, getting my daughters their tea while me and the Mrs have a couple of drinks and then walking back down the road.

Seeing some live music.

Visiting our mates in London for the weekend.

Having a bbq with an open door so all my mates and family can drop in throughout the day with their kids and just chill out and have a laugh.

Cards nights with the boys.

Just not having to wear a fecking mask.

No one suggested Silent Protest at the Plaza!  Going out for coffee and a meal. Staying in because I want to, not because I have to.

Seeing friends and colleagues and just chatting about nothing in particular.

All the best with the wee one.  My brother had a wee boy in October so it's been weird for them not being able to see many people the way you normally would when a wee one comes along. Hopefully things are a bit more normal for you guys.
