By the looks of the unsealed document, he'll be waving from balconies again in no time.

Expect him and Fergie to remarry, and whatever else it takes to get him back in the union jack tea towel brigade's good books.

Sweep sweep...

His reliance on that document suggests that his old mucker Epstein settled up on his behalf and he is now off the hook. Whatever happens he is permanently stigmatised.

Prince Andrew won't get prosecuted.

The establishment closes ranks. Its what they are best at.

Of this there is zero doubt. What could be interesting is the way the public react. The Australian press are already shouting there's no way back for him, and the queen is getting it in the neck for sticking by him.  If we end up with a "rehabilitated" Randy Andy, it could be curtains for them over here.

Disgusting person. This should be the nail in the coffin for the outdated. elitist institution which is the monarchy. Get shot of them all . Pension them off if we must. The Queen can stay rent free in a one bedroom house and get the state pension. The rest can apply for Universal credit or actually try working. If only.

Whilst the Queen is alive, he will be told to keep his head down.

If the Queen dies this year, then the new monarch will ensure he still keeps his head down.

I wonder how heavy handed the police will be if the masses turn up carrying banners with Paedo and the like on them. It could be worth a watch. Meanwhile, as it’s all kicking off, the nonce will pop off back inside with the rest of the spongers protecting him for yet another luxurious meal at the expense of the peasants.

I think it'd be a zero tolerance situation.  Anyone calling him out for what he is,  either with banners, chanting or whatever,  would find themselves at Paddington police station,  answering questions relating to anti terrorist legislation...

If it became widespread though,  how could they keep a lid on it?

How do agreements like that get "lodged" with a court ?   It seems ridiculous that one party (Epstein) has the legal right to protect any  other  party in the future from being sued or being criminally charged  by the 2nd  party (Roberts) - in exchange for money being paid by party one to party 2.

It seems morally bizarre that a court would agree to accept an unspecified  settlement like that as legally ok.

It also begs the question about whether the legal team now taking on VG's case against  HRH were aware of this sealed agreement or not.   Or whether  VG herself had genuinely forgotten all about it.  Or if she  was just chancing her arm that it wouldn't come to light, and didn't tell her legal team.

Or if Epstein had told all his paedo  "friends" (including HRH) about the settlement - "Don't worry chaps, I've taken care of things." Maybe he paid off  several other under-age girls too for their silence ?

Interesting to see if the judge throws VG's case out, based on this document.  Lets hope he doesn't !!

Judge to give his ruling 'shortly' said with a laugh, which could mean in the next 30 minutes or the next few days or so.

Sky's legal commontator seems to think that the judge will side with the plantiff in this case and that it will go to a full trial later in the year, unless settled out of court.

That's quite a read and it would appear that this judge is taking none of Randy's lawyer's pish.

He's now staring down the barrel of an out of court settlement which means he's toast or a trial which means the whole rancid lot of them are toast.

Which is nice.

This Twitter thread is well worth a read.

Judge appears unimpressed with Andrew’s defence lawyer.

I hope it goes to court and that it forces a lot of names to be discussed and creeps to be put in the firing line. Imagine the MAGA meltdown or Q nutcases faces if Trump was implicated.

That would be astonishing. Paedophilia is like catnip to conspiracy theorists and the like and is a cornerstone of their paranoia. There’s that famous quote by Trump about Epstein which is along the lines of them both liking beautiful women but Geoffrey likes them a bit younger.

Giuffre is said to be very well off financially, with absolutely no interest in a financial settlement from this case. She is looking to take her revenge on the people involved and bring them down.

This decision by the judge, today, seems to be Prince Andrew's only chance of all the sordid details of his involvement with the Epstein gang being kept away from the public. He's already having to self isolate more than the general population for now.  The rest of the royals must be very nervous at the media attention that will drop on the rest of them should this action go ahead this year.

Lawyer Mark Stevens (a defamation specialist) was interviewed on the BBC News channel a few minutes ago. It was said that lawyer Alan Dershowitz successfully used the 2009 agreement to avoid a similar claim of sexual assault made by VR/VG against him.

That's been the claim all along, but if it was that simple,  it'd be an open and shut case. It seems the judge has given Andrew's legal team a real going over though. I suppose we just have to wait and see...

I struggle to see how it can possibly be legal to tie someone to a document saying they can’t seek redress for other criminal acts. Seems like the most glaring example of how the rich abuse power

There's no way it can be right if you look at it from a natural justice point of view.  We're talking about Anerica though,  the land of the free, where nothing is free... and everything can be bought.

It's a civil case rather than criminal so it's obviously different but it just doesn't seem right that there can be a clause saying any of his mates can't get sued if they raped her.

Totally agree, but nothing would surprise me, given it's the US 'justice' system.

" He is reportedly trying to force through the sale of his £17million Swiss ski chalet to help foot the bill for his spiralling legal costs as he fights sexual abuse allegations, with Sarah, the Duchess of York reportedly supporting him financially and emotionally through the process."

HTF can she support him financially? Who paid for that Swiss ski chalet in the first place ?

Not a great day for the British establishment. Fist Boris gives an embarrassing apology for being a lying bassa and now the Prince (Randy Andy) is to be dragged through the American civil courts on a sexual assault charge.

Deary me.

3 options open to him now, settle out of court, ignore it and have a default judgement issued against him or fight it out in open court.

Settle out of court is the only realistic option left, that's assuming Ms Giuffre wants to settle out of court, she might want her day in court, if so there is not much Andrew can do about it.

He could also appeal today's judgement before any of that.

The trouble for him is, if you’re innocent then let a court clear you. Fighting this hard to stop the case even being heard only makes people draw the conclusion you want to avoid.

I reckon they’ll accept this decision and pay her off.

I know it's not legally the thing to do but, I'll confess: I've already drawn that conclusion.

One of the legal experts on the TV was saying that as it's an interim judgement he can't appeal, he has to go through to what is called the discovery stage now, where basically evidence is gathered.
