Stephen Glass is assistant manager out there apparently.

There you go then, I would have a fiver on that

The Sun is reporting that McInnes has left Aberdeen.

Saying that he has had a strained relationship with the chief executive Cormack in recent months due to behind the scenes decisions.

Will be interesting to see which direction they will go.

Well, if I was Cormack and paying McInnes £800,000 a year and looking at the results I would think our relationship would be a bit strained to say the least.

Another anti-football dinosaur gone, can only be good for Scottish football. I get the feeling their new manager won’t be in £750k a year 😆. I asked a sheep fan yesterday who should replace him and they don’t seem to have any ideas.

This is the happiest I've seen Aberdeen fans in about 25 years.

We'll revisit that in a year or so.

I think he did a solid job there, certainly consistent, but only one trophy given that Celtic were the only real opposition during his tenure was poor.

McLeish or Strachan then

an '80's dream team of McLeish and Strachan together would be better really - Scottish football's dumb and dumber

Love him or loathe him he has done a decent job with a  club constantly undermined by passed player/manager/director.

For me he seemed to be a manager that constantly needed a war chest to spend when results got bad. Didn't ever see him to do much when players got injured or squad was depleted.

CL always seemed to get one over him in the big games.

I think we are about to see the meltdown of an American owned Scottish football club.

Wouldn't be surprised to see McIness at Easter Road some time soon and Aberdeen in the Championship within the next 3 seasons.

This would have been a significant step-up for Jack Ross but being hopeless probably puts him put of contention.

Place a big enough bet on him and you might.

Hmm.

Gerrard to leave on a high to bigger pastures and Derek making himself available? Seems a bit of a strange one to me.

Take it they only have pics of McInnes as serial killer on file?

Announcing him going with a big :yas:    would have raised eyebrows.  :)

Unfortunately it won’t assure him getting the job or I’d be prepared to put four figures on.

Even a "let's all laugh at Aberdeen and McInnes" thread gets turned into a Neilson out one. They're not unhinged though, not at all.

Nobody has offered to drive Robbie up there yet... what's going on JKB carpool?

No Idle Talk

Aberdeen do appear to have lost their way in recent times but I am not convinced they won't live to regret this decision. Regular top four finishes and good cup runs were not the norm at Pittodrie before McInnes turned up. Having said that, Aberdeen have scored a total of one goal in their last nine games. That is atrocious! If Hearts did that, I would probably want rid of Robbie Neilson. So I can kinda understand where the Aberdeen fans frustration is coming from.

It'll be interesting to see who they bring in next. Neil Lennon, Jim Goodwin and Stephen Glass all seem like credible options. As for Enzo Mascara, eye've never heard of him.

Could hire Lennon for 12 months. Usually he does quite well in first year or so before it all goes down the pan.
