  • 3 weeks later...

I've been watching "Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War" on Netflix over the past couple of weeks (9 episodes) and it was a good watch.

Lots of stuff I had only a vague knowledge of previously so it was very interesting. The previous series on The War on Terror was also really good.

Watched the Boyzone documentary o. Sky. 3 parter and available on demand.

Curiosity really got the better of me hence watching it. Always wondered what goes on behind the scenes with these boy bands. Is it all sex drugs n rock n roll etc.

It was actually a really good watch. They all came across really well. Typical picked from nowhere Dublin boys thrown together achieving worldwide success and fame. Then the troubles started. The fall outs. Solo success taking president over the band. Then of course the tragic passing of Steven Gateley.

Loui Walsh came across as an absolute prick!!!

Worth a watch.

It's definitely worth a watch. Walsh comes across pretty appallingly. As do the journalists.

Shane and Keith don't come out of it too well neither. Mikey pretty much is the only one that's OK, basically says **** them all they're all arseholes.
