Ari Gold Posted March 6, 2021 Share Posted March 6, 2021 It wont happen but i'd like us to try something along the lines of Gordon Smith Halkett Popescu Winger (any of them) McEneff Haring Irving Kingsley Boyce Gnando Bit harsh on Walker but i'd like us to give Boyce and Gnando a run together. There is an issue on the left side of the back 3, could potentially put Kinglsey there and bring in another winger but that would mean Haring would have to be very disciplined and have a decent game or we could be too open. Nice balance in midfield. Haring sitting, allowing Irving getting on the ball and play 10-15 yards further forward, not as a 10 but feel we could use his passing ability more in an attacking sense that we have done at times this season. Reflection and hind sight are important, and while a large victory every week would be ideal, there are another 11 players on the pitch competing at a higher level against us. 3 things I'll be happy with today, a clean sheet, an improved performance front to back and a victory. Agree - gms needed time and he’s starting to show signs of being able to make a difference. Having confidence is key for wingers to perform. Walker and free role is so more effective than out wide. Now we can't even bank on having a go. Will be pleasantly surprised if we get stuck in and TBF that's all I ask. The big thing for me is this squad SHOULD be well up for this game due to the injustice of last season and the fact Mc Pake is their manager. Will take a 1-0 if they show they really tried and were up against a decent opponent/ some bad luck/great goal keeping ( which Dundee are not ). Young guys still have the enthusiasm of youth and will probably put this post down. But we can only live in hope and win this and we are well on our way to promotion.
