Sky Sports reporting that he may have broken both his legs

Just seen the pictures, of the car. That’s a fair impact and the front has completely crumpled.

Hope he’s ok and recovers as quickly as can.

Hes in surgery just now , multiple leg injuries. Guessing not life threatening but that sounds serious enough.

Painkillers...🤔

A lot of the roads up in the canyons above LA can be a bit tricky if you get a corner wrong. Also some of them have tricky road surfaces, I’d imagine his motor was a bit more powerful than the average SUV.

Guy clearly needs to spend some time in a drug/alcohol rehab centre.

What was it last time - drink / drug driving?  Looks suspicious this time too - no other cars involved apparently and how the hell did the car end up there?!

He was hosting the event that finished yesterday and was interviewed live on Sky last night. I suppose he could have fallen asleep at the wheel but hope he makes full recovery and gets whatever help he needs.  Looks like his golfing career could be over though.  Not sure he’ll have the fitness or will to play the seniors tour.

I know the road well, having travelled it when in LA. Subject to heavy fog too at times. He was on a straight to very slight curve, at the time of impact. Could've swerved to avoid a kitten!

Doesn't detract from the fact, he was out his head on live TV on Sunday, discussing his ongoing back surgery rehab. So people speculating on the possible cause, is quite valid, given his previous form.

He was hosting the Genesis Invitational at the weekend then at an event yesterday for Golf Digest with Jade Pinkett Smith. Seemed fine considering the recent surgery he had.

Looking at that your guess of spangled could be spot on.

Oh dear. If he wasn't finished already, he certainly is now but if Ben Hogan can do it...who knows.

I hope he's OK and he recovers from this even if we never see him on a golf course again.

All the very best Tiger.

Sad to see anyone have that type of accident leading to the physical and mental trauma he will now experience. He is fortunate that he has the money and will be given lots of support to assist him in what will be a difficult recovery. Whatever the cause of the accident he will live with the results of it, some suggestion he may have swerved to avoid a coyote or some other wildlife which is common on this highway, whatever the cause there will be his critics, stories, and rumors, all of which will achieve nothing, to me he was just another golfer, a good one mind you, but also a young man with problems which sudden wealth can cause, but for me I wish him a good recovery, and a minimum of problems physical and mental in his recovery.

Talking about a 500 ft debris field. There's more further up, going by reports.

Dozed off I'd say. No blown tire marks or skid marks, no digging in of the car on the tarmac.

Lucky boy, if it's just his legs.

I saw his interview on Sunday night (I was thinking it was last night), can’t say I noticed anything untoward with his behaviour.  Maybe a couple of refreshments as part of his hosting duties though.

Another little tidbit of facts. American's drive on the right. So Tiger would be on the left of the picture above, coming down the road.

Yet he's crossed a median, two lanes of traffic, and ended up facing up the canyon...

Apparently post accident there was some movement of the vehicle while they cut him out of it, but the damage would indicate pretty high speed, what would the mph on that highway be 70/80mph.

Here's where he's went across his lanes and took out the road sign, indicated in my first picture. Folk regularly fly down that neck of the woods(no pun intended).

Still think he's drifted off though.

Oh, and it's 45mph on that part...

One of my sporting hero’s. hoping he recovers and wait to see the extent of his injuries. I would love to see him again playing golf in person but I think this is highly unlikely now . It looked like he was cutting back his schedule before this.

Who knows we wait and see fingers crossed TW is fine.

Saw the police press conference there : no ****ing about, cop fielding questions : was he under the influence? Drink involved? Narcotics? Prescription medication? Then it was : fell asleep at the wheel? Heart attack?

Hope he makes a full recovery as he is/was a wonderful golfer but a deeply flawed man. What a waste.

Hopes he recovers, but I have a feeling his professional golfing days are over.

At his age, that seems a certainty.  The end of an incredible career.

Jeez not long watched a video on facebook with him and Dwayne Wade gowfing round a course think he was teaching. D-wade done a live video for his viewers and Tiger was standing there grinning like a chesire cat and saucers for eyes! Seemed like still on it from the weekend. Hope hes ok though you'd think he'd be chauffered around given past problems

No skid marks, no signs of slowing, first point of contact was with the median in the middle of the road, right across the other oncoming lanes and into the trees at full speed.

Lucky boy to only suffer a broken leg.

Driving was never his strong point, on or off the course.

He is a lucky man the crash wasnt fatal. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery.

He was struggling to recover from his last surgery, he has passed his peak in terms of age and this accident will write off 2021 as well............with major doubts about any full recovery

So grateful he has seemingly survived and can look forward to a future which may include some role in the sport of Golf

If not he has a family and some friends who can help him through the adjustments his future life may well bring him......and money to help any changes to his lifestyle

Assuming his left leg is just bruised rather than bashed, what's the chances of him standing on one leg and taking part in the opening tee shot ceremony alongside Nicholas and Player at Augusta in April?

Was he drunk? That's a hell of a crash for someone who isn't pissed or drugged up to the eyeballs.

How cynical, of you, Ron.
