What was it last time - drink / drug driving? Looks suspicious this time too - no other cars involved apparently and how the hell did the car end up there?! He was hosting the event that finished yesterday and was interviewed live on Sky last night. I suppose he could have fallen asleep at the wheel but hope he makes full recovery and gets whatever help he needs. Looks like his golfing career could be over though. Not sure he’ll have the fitness or will to play the seniors tour.

Subject to heavy fog too at times. He was on a straight to very slight curve, at the time of impact. Could've swerved to avoid a kitten! Doesn't detract from the fact, he was out his head on live TV on Sunday, discussing his ongoing back surgery rehab. So people speculating on the possible cause, is quite valid, given his previous form.

Cruyff Posted Tuesday at 20:49 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:49 Oh dear. If he wasn't finished already, he certainly is now but if Ben Hogan can do it...who knows. I hope he's OK and he recovers from this even if we never see him on a golf course again. All the very best Tiger.
Sharpie Posted Tuesday at 20:58 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:58 Sad to see anyone have that type of accident leading to the physical and mental trauma he will now experience. He is fortunate that he has the money and will be given lots of support to assist him in what will be a difficult recovery. Whatever the cause of the accident he will live with the results of it, some suggestion he may have swerved to avoid a coyote or some other wildlife which is common on this highway, whatever the cause there will be his critics, stories, and rumors, all of which will achieve nothing, to me he was just another golfer, a good one mind you, but also a young man with problems which sudden wealth can cause, but for me I wish him a good recovery, and a minimum of problems physical and mental in his recovery. There's more further up, going by reports. Dozed off I'd say. No blown tire marks or skid marks, no digging in of the car on the tarmac. Lucky boy, if it's just his legs. So Tiger would be on the left of the picture above, coming down the road. Yet he's crossed a median, two lanes of traffic, and ended up facing up the canyon...

Apparently post accident there was some movement of the vehicle while they cut him out of it, but the damage would indicate pretty high speed, what would the mph on that highway be 70/80mph. Still think he's drifted off though.

Stu_HMFC Posted Tuesday at 22:53 Share Posted Tuesday at 22:53 One of my sporting hero’s. hoping he recovers and wait to see the extent of his injuries. I would love to see him again playing golf in person but I think this is highly unlikely now . It looked like he was cutting back his schedule before this. Who knows we wait and see fingers crossed TW is fine.
JDK2020 Posted Wednesday at 00:01 Share Posted Wednesday at 00:01 Saw the police press conference there : no ****ing about, cop fielding questions : was he under the influence? Drink involved? Narcotics? Prescription medication? Then it was : fell asleep at the wheel? Heart attack?

Cade Posted Wednesday at 09:02 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:02 No skid marks, no signs of slowing, first point of contact was with the median in the middle of the road, right across the other oncoming lanes and into the trees at full speed. CJGJ Posted Wednesday at 19:52 Share Posted Wednesday at 19:52 He was struggling to recover from his last surgery, he has passed his peak in terms of age and this accident will write off 2021 as well............with major doubts about any full recovery So grateful he has seemingly survived and can look forward to a future which may include some role in the sport of Golf If not he has a family and some friends who can help him through the adjustments his future life may well bring him......and money to help any changes to his lifestyle
