It's not subject to high court or bailiff action because it's a civil matter. They would need to take you to court, win their case and then you default on the outcome before it got anywhere near that.

Up to a point yes, I wouldn't ignore a "letter before action" which is an official pre-court document. I still wouldn't acknowledge the debt if it's time barred or close to being so. Always called it "alleged debt" if corresponding.

After a couple of months of nothing another 3 letters today notice of intended legal action . From DCBL

Did you get the shredder for increasing enjoyment ?

 

It still sounds very much like they are hoping you bite. 

Intended legal action is different from actual legal action. This would cost them a lot to take through the courts and i don't think they will.
