One of my mates showed me his shoulder, he broke his a year previously. He isn't the brightest, which is an understatement. He only wore his sling for 2 days. Due to the fact he is quite skinny, you can actually see where the break was and where the 2 bits of bone met almost crossed over each other.

Aye. I've got an exercise sheet I have to follow so that the bone heals/fuses the correct way.

The sling's staying on as long as poss.

Actually did a double windmill with my arms yesterday and managed to stay on my feet. Compacted snow under fresh snow is treacherous. Taken to walking like a skater over icey bits now.

I’ve been wearing grippers on my shoes the last week or so. The pavements are pure ice where I live so it’s the only way I can go out and walk the dog and not end up in A&E.

Sounds like a good shout - https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=shoe+grippers&adgrpid=52747806203&gclid=CjwKCAiAxeX_BRASEiwAc1QdkSXRNp1HZwDfa0b30VmxotxcxG3llM7Wm8pfGssWxd5eHZWNzdgMvRoCkKwQAvD_BwE&hvadid=259086063568&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9047006&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=8587278251784490952&hvtargid=kwd-298198197998&hydadcr=28148_1724781&returnFromLogin=1&tag=googhydr-21&ref=nav_signin

Think I wore mine constant for 3 weeks. After that, it would be worn occasionally.

The wife purchased snow grippers from Amazon and says they’re brilliant.

She had a bad fall a few years ago but these give her a lot of confidence.

Got my mum and dad them too. Dad is 71 and has had 2 hip replacements and feels confident going out walking each day with these on. They’ve been a godsend the last 10 days.

Doctor FinnBarr

Mrs Saunders had a fall on the way to the pub 6/8 years ago for a Hobbit V Hearts game (we couldn't find tickets). Broke some small bone in her hand and was off work for 6 weeks

Had never heard of "walk like a penguin" before until the other night on STV news.

The young girl reporter done it to end her piece and had me and Mrs B burst out laughing, good on her.

I did think about posting it at the time.

Half my street has been to Western this past week with falls, the paths and roads are absolutely perfect for curling. Council couldn't give a shit however

Council eventually did my street while I was out a walk yesterday. Thanked them through gritted teeth.

Lovely pun. Just as temperatures get up to 5 degrees do the council appear

I read the thread back tonight and was genuinely touched by the good wishes.

...and I also suspected you might all be fretting about me. 😁

How did you get on with the one-handed masturbation? I know it's not for everybody.

Had to make do with a can of beer from the fridge and the Mrs on her treadmill. 😊
