I think it was a crazy decision to make the Championship teams enter a round earlier than usual this season.

Any decision made in this country is crazy, hopeless clowns.

Confirmed

Need to treat every game as if it might be our last - no repeat of what happened in our expulsion season with St Mirren. Personal opinion is that there is no way this runs the full 27 games...

Play it on Wednesday rather than the Tuesday , more time for both to prepare and gets another game out the way .
If only the people in charge could get their fingers out of their arse holes and earn their wage

That's unkind. Neil Doncaster is only getting around £400000 pa salary.

Dunfermline are due to play Morton on the Friday night so couldn't see this happening in any case.

Yip, that will scupper any chance of getting it played this week then. 🙁

They (DA) were due to play them in the Cup also on Tuesday anyway. I doubt we wouldnt want to arrange team at such short notice though.

No doubt Doncaster will be feeding the data into the Super-computer to get the fixtures re-arranged as we speak

Would have thought league games would be priority?

what a shambles

Cups always get priority, even in junior football.

You'd have thought considering the shitshow last season common sense might have prevailed! Apparently not :(

Won’t do us any harm to give GMS more time and get Smith back into training too.

Been saying this all along.

Delays will suit us more than them. Boyce and Ginneli back to full fitness too, along with bedding in GMS and anyone else we bring in.

SFA is the ruling body, it's their competition, so it takes preference.

As SJFA, SWFA, SAFA and juveniles, these games are deemed more important.

Plenty of free midweeks to fit in our last 20 odd games too.

Dundee could now go 2 pts behind us on Tuesday night .

Shows how we've opened the door to them after that horror show last weekend .

Its definitely game back on now with regards to the league .

You never mentioned the fact if this happens then we will have two games in hand of Dundee.

Exactly.

We were utter pish at Dens but they won't be catching us, nor will anyone else for that matter.

You could be right - every game needs to be treated like a cup final.

Mentioned on another thread earlier today.

All 5 Championship games due to be tomorrow night have been postponed. Due to Scottish Cup being shelved for 3 weeks, the date set aside for Round 3 (Saturday 30th January) is now free for the games to be played on that date.

Easy, peasy, but maybe outwith the reach of Donkey & Co at SPFL to implement!!

If all the Scottish cup games oh suspended till February why is the hearts versus Dunfermline game not been rearranged back to Tuesday

Very tight turnaround is probably the reason for both footballing and logistics reasons. In theory sounds simple but there's lot of work that goes into a game of football at our level going ahead.

Would it not make sense to arrange the missed fixtures from last mid week for next week? There's no games so would save a fixture headache when cup matches are allowed to be played...or is that too sensible for the SPFL.

Sensible and SPFL doesn't work in the same sentence.

With 4 of our next 6 games away Hearts and Robbie had better start winning these away games just in case the same thing happens again like ending the season. We must stay top.

Very true now’s the time to be more convincing away from home.

Given the cup situation the weekend of Saturday 30th January would be free.....Dunfermline Athletic in the same boat so common sense to apply you'd think

As many have told us we need to take advantage of all free dates to get the number of fixtures completed to a high level

We could play 8 more league matches before the end of February if we get it fitted in...taking us to 18 matches or 2/3rds of the season completed

Of course the cup has the 4th round scheduled for 20/2/2021 but we still don't have dates for the 3rd round yet confirmed and they won't be played prior to the 30th January

For us of course 3rd round tie will depend on beating Brora Rangers at some point

Sime of those games are in places like Ayr, Dumfries and Fife.

Nightmare journeys, dodgy roads etc.

Was frozen underneath with water on top according to the ref. Weather to get up to as high as 7 degrees on Saturday so let’s hope it’s ok. Certainly a better chance of it going ahead on plastic than grass.
