Virgin media WiFi

Looking for some help and/or advice please . 
Usually we have two connections to the hub for WiFi , either 2G or 5G signal , for the last few days it’s only 2G that’s available . I’ve tried the old switch on switch off but not made a difference , can anyone help out please ?

Have you logged into your router's settings to check if 5GHz is turned on?  If it is on, try turning it off, rebooting, and turning it back on.
