He’s becoming one of those mythological players who gets better with every game he misses

It usually happens after they leave.

Ginelly is managing to do it while still here.

Silence is pretty ominous

Another injury prone player to add to the long list of failed gambles. We may manage a max of another 8 games from this guy this season

Struggling to be fit for the cup final. The lads a more than decent player but made of egg shells. Another one signed without any real due diligence on his fitness history being done.

or perhaps it was and in our current situation we're having to gamble on players more than we'd like. Kingsley didn't have the best recent injury record - but has turned out fine.

Some you win....

If he does not even make the bench tomorrow then questions need to be asked.

Been out for 6 weeks now.

He was going to be fine for the Dunfermline game 2 weeks so, then that was too early but he'll be fine for Alloa at Tynecastle on the Tuesday, doesn't make it , will he be Ok tomorrow for the trip to Greenock? Who knows.

Seen this so much with players over the last few years.

Thought all this crap would stop when Levein went.

At the time he got injured at Arbroath is was clearly a thigh muscle injury which is on a par with a hamstring injury.  It was always going to be weeks out.  Maybe Hearts were playing a bit kidology prior to Hibs game but they would have known then he was out longer.  Its just a case of not coming back too soon.

We sign a glut of wide players, tis the Robbie way.

Reality bites, two of them are complete and utter pony and the only decent one is made of glass.

Is the Hearts way over the last 5/6 seasons.

Frear and Roberts can stay home and isolate for football reasons and give the kids a go.

Surely Henderson and Moore would be better options.

That all makes sense to me .

But from other posts he is , apparently , made of glass and injury prone . Things that we didn't check before signing him !

Who to believe ?

Well if the website, transfermarkt is anything to go by, this is the only injury on their database for him. No other record of time out injured at previous clubs. Make of that what you will.

The lack of due diligence is just my opinion.

the football recruitment dept strikes again.

Pin the tail on the donkey method has kept folk in a job too long.

It has been the Hearts way for several seasons. I used to think we were unlucky/cursed with bad recruitment and injury prone players but now it just seems like poor judgement. Sadly, Henderson and Moore are not the answer either.

You state he is made of egg shells and we didn't check his fitness record as facts , not opinion ?

So you’re just having another dig at Hearts for no reason? Odd behaviour for a supporter.

Are the club above criticism? Is it not allowed on a fans forum? Am I missing something about free speech and people being allowed an opinion?

Nelly Terraces

Another player who the less he plays the better he gets.

Played under 100 minutes of league football & now he's akin to Messi.

Because he's direct and doesn't suit our tippy, tappy, passive possession style of play.

Aye he looks a brilliant wee prospect.  No doubt he will sign for Hibs or Aberdeen.

We had a youngster on the wing that looked useful. Never really got a chance though. In Spain now I believe.

He will be joined with others that want out the club, again not getting chances.

Wouldn’t make much sense to risk Ginelly on the heavy pitch tomorrow, could end up setting him back weeks.

You’re right of course but he won’t play much if we’re waiting on a good surface to play him on, and I include our £1m one in that.

We also have one, still here, who has never played as badly as Frear or Roberts.

Although a few years older than Mcdonald.

He is. Inverness loan is up in January and rangers contract up in May:

Was quite quiet v.s us at Tynecastle in the league, although he looked confident enough. Would be a cracking loan option for us in January but imagine Gers would want him to continue at Caley if he's showing form.
