White and Wighton

GinRummy

Recommended Posts

Aidy White can’t play for 90 mins and not even convinced he’s a footballer. But when he came on I said to my Son he has genuine pace and it could be crucial.

it shows how important pace is now in the modern game.

I don't think he's very good but he'll be remembered for that one.

Well done Aidy.

Sticking it up the tramps will always endear you to the fans.

Bit of a redemption story tonight.

Aidy Sh*te and Craig Sh***on both made critical contributions tonight.

Hopefully we can uncomplicate the picture and back them both properly going forward.

Wighton was great tonight, sharp when the ball was at his feet. We need to play into him more often wherever he plays.

White, I could see the logic behind the sub, he has pace and energy. Combine that with the big pitch and PMcGinn at RB, was a recipe for success.

Will folk now get off their backs?  Hopefully, but it’s Hearts and Hearts supporters.

Yeah, they both worked hard.

Seem to need the carrot over the stick. Some good coaching should help them out

Have Wighton and Boyce swapped bodies? That chance Boyce had, can't help but feel Wighton would've buried that. Not that it matters. White beating Boyle for pace was hilarious even though Boyle had more minutes in his legs.

Have to confess I didn't really understand the substitution and during normal time it looked like it lost us the flow of the match. In extra time it made sense.

Guess that is why RN is the manager and not me...

Aidy's 'fozzy on the fence' moment.

Said as a man too young to have watched that game. But i did watch Simmons/Nade/Glen have their moment

I also watched Kinglsey over that last few matches and thought 'oh yes, that's what a left back looks like'

that's the difference IMO

or maybe i'm being unkind to Fozzy.

Wighton will be our top scorer this year. Just shows you how quick some idiots on here are to write players off.

He had last season and he never done it.  I don't think the fans were quick to write him off.

Hey, hold on! I wrote a post questioning the substitution but never posted it. At no time did I say I was wrong! 😉

Aidy reminds me of foster can run like fek and that can cause no end of problems. His play for the pen was like a perfectly choreographed ballet scene. Just wonderful

Quite the turnaround from Wighton.

Genuinely didn't think he had it in him. 😂

Really impressive burst of pace as well.

Agreed.

White a better option to Roberts.

Different types of player. Roberts passing was rank but I think he will improve. Aidy did well when he came on.

I don't rate Roberts so far.

Was our poorest player, despite getting into good positions he made bad choices.

I couldn't watch Boyce taking the penalty after missing a couple of good chances earlier.

I've worn the same top for all of our games so far, drank the same brand of cider each game. Put money into Strongbow shares... I'll be boosting their price over the next year 🤣🤣🤣

He was so cool when he tucked that header away.

Then sclaffed the cut back.

Just needs Robbie to fine tune him.

Maybe he's the type that's capable of genius or ridiculous on any day.

Scoring against the vermin instantly lifts him into a new category of Hearts players. Guys like Obua and Nade are way more fondly remembered due to important Derby goals IMO.

I’ll hand it to Wighton. He’s a slow burner this season.

Simply starting to show courage makes a huge difference to the effect he can have on the game.  Did sclaff a great chance but took his goal superbly with a stealthy back post run.

Fair play, long may it continue and benefit Hearts.

I'm unconvinced too. Maybe he was carrying an injury as he missed last week's game?

I have watched Wighton at the Orium for Hearts and at Meggetland for our u20s and in Reserve league.games to assert himself.

He always looks a class above but struggled to assert himself.

Fingers crossed but he could become good
