I'm absolutely devasted. An absolute hero of a man.

Seeing him in tears lifting the Scottish Cup is one of the all time moments in the history of this club.

RIP Marius and thank you for everything you did in a Hearts jersey.

I was thinking exactly the same.

Dagger Is Back

Oh no. 36 YO. He literally lived the dream having dreamt about lifting the trophy in 2012.

Terrible news and condolences to all his family

RIP Zal

One of many foreigners to come here knowing nothing of the club but just got us.

I've barely looked at the match since reading the news.

Hannibal Lecter

If this is true I’m absolutely gutted by it. Maybe didn’t have the greatest of starts for us but he turned into a key player for us and the image of him lifting the Scottish Cup in 2012 is an epic memory from that day.

Awful news. Rest in peace Zal and thanks for all you did for HMFC.

Zal's interview after the 2012 cup final was superb and showed how much he loved the club and got the occasion.

RIP Big Zal

Don’t know what to say. Feel like crying. The man was a legend. Thinking of his friends and family at this moment. Everything in perspective.

One of my favourite ever Hearts players. An absolute legend of a player and a cup winner in the biggest Derby in history. Gutted to hear this :(

RIP Big Zal.....Cup winning captain who got what playing for Hearts meant. So sad if it was MND. This awful disease has blighted so many sportsmen in the prime of life. Winning the cup would be a great tribute.
