redm
Hello all, we received this message from the Poppy Factory via Jack Alexander. “I’ve just spoken to the Poppy Factory. They are hoping to get an urgent message out to as many folk as possible: Any supporters clubs that normally collect their wreaths from the Scots Guards Club should make contact via email (here) [email protected] stating whether they still wish to collect their wreath there or have it posted to some convenient address. There will be a standard Royal Mail charge for that service. All emails will be acknowledged upon receipt. If no acknowledgment is received you are advised to make contact by phone. In the meantime though, please only emails - there are no dedicated call handling personnel and the staff are exceptionally busy.“

brownkg
I have spoken to the poppy factory and the club about the situation this year and the outcome is as follows:- Anyone who has ordered a wreath and is unable to collect it from the guards club (assuming they manage to open for handing out wreaths) and would like it delivered direct to Tynecastle where it will be laid by the club in the garden of remembrance should email the Poppy factory asking for that to happen. The Poppy factory will drop them off at Tynecastle. The club do not have the facility to hand out individual wreaths and will only take delivery and lay the ones delivered When I spoke to the Poppy factory on Monday they were not yet able to confirm the guards club would be open to hand out wreaths at Haymarket but assuming they can open to facility this the poppy factory will deliver wreaths there. The only other option is for the wreaths to be sent to a nominated address for which there is an extra charge. Again people need to contact the Poppy factory by email to confirm this. [email protected] All things being equal the service will take place as normal next year
