I picked now because this is normally the time where everyone starts to go quiet and lurk and stop playing the game and it can go a bit flat. The challenge allowed the game to continue and people to keep chatting. The challenge was a level playing field and anyone, goons, assassin, masons or townies could have won. It wasn't designed to disadvantage anyone. I could have easily stuck to my original plan of PMing a random townie, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to win.
