Thought Police

Imagine waiting 7 months to get skudded 6-2.

Would never be my club.

On Walker played really well,  just a couple of poor decisions in their box but took up very good positions through the pitch and was hard for them to pin down

Jamie Walker was excellent. Deserved a goal. Absolutely ruined Dundee.

Yup, had Kingsley not scored 2, he'd have been my MOTM.

Great start to the season, fantastic result, some stunning goals. Was a bit flat for most of the second half, but we could afford to coast for a bit. Olly didn’t look sharp and as for the Walker MotM shouts, not for me. Put in a shift for sure, but how many times is he going to look like a rabbit in the headlights with the ball at his feet and a defender to beat? Gets in great positions but without an end product other than to lay it off.

Walker and Lee both got assists and made things happen. Exactly what they're on the park for. Walker in particular was very good - always looking for a goal or pass. It's not his job to dribble past everyone in the middle of the park.

That first half performance reminds me of the days under JJ when a 20 min spell would see us 2-3-4 up and the game was over. But, we soaked up some pressure early 2nd half and kept going. Great team performance with Walker Kingsley and Popescu taking told marks, and a couple of important saves from Gordon too.... terrific start

That was tremendous. And especially tremendous everyone in Scottish football got to witness it.

They can't wait for fans to be allowed back, we will sell out all their grounds if we keep playing like that!!!!

No one will want to miss a game!!!

PHM

He’s done nothing but play down our goals, saying they were poor defensively. Is his car in Wheatfield Street on double yellows? Absolute ***** of a man, always was.

Kingsley was class all game. Him and Smith af full back, two solid centre halves, wingers who commit, ball playing midfielders and instinctive towards.

Its looking good

Michael Smith put in a good shift. 2 days after 60 minutes for N.Ireland.

I can't take this lass on BBC seriously. She looks like Shergar.

Apparently she plays fitba' for Weegie City "ladies".   That clearly qualifies her as a pointless  pundit on the BBC

Great to see a Hearts team that appear to have trained together. Seems a long time!

Cracking goals too. The 6th one reminded me of the late ones we got in 2014-15, often by late sub Billy King. May be Halliday's role until fully fit.

Great to enjoy football again!

No one is a challenger

The rest are already in a relegation dogfight as Neilson plots his way to scoring more goals in 27 games than we scored last time around in 36.

6 down, 90 to go. Need an average of 3.4 a game.

Massive improvement on the Betfred games.

Best players were Kingsley, Walker and Ginnelly

Needs a slight adjustment in midfield to make it either Lee & Haring or The Porty Pirlo & Haring.

Lee & The Porty Pirlo from a defensive point of view will give us problems in some games

The best of it is I’d hardly say Dundee were “shite” that’s our biggest challengers apparently and we absolutely strolled past them. Take your medicine you horrible ****s. Gorgie rules

Kidding yourself if you think Harry is much quicker.

Walker looked rapid tonight up against Adam.

That was enjoyable. :) I'm glad it wasn't a whitewash - it hammers it home how much we have to do, how there is always room to do better.

WTF was that booking at the end for Walker though. 6-2 ahead in the last couple of minutes, you don't give away cheap bookings.

Haring and Halliday is the answer there Id have thought. Irving and Lee weren’t  great tonight. Old man Adam waltzed passed them with ease for the first goal and they didn’t cope great when Dundee starting playing for 15 minutes

Good night for The Hearts.

Great to be back on proper league hatred business after so long away from genuine tribalism.

Only thing that was missing was the young team pavement dancing their way all up Russell Road.

Cobra on the Dundee forum gets it !

"Hearts score 6 for the first time in 5 and a half years in their first league game since we switched our vote to relegate them to the Championship. No connection of course.

I think that will be the pairing against Hibs, maybe split them against other teams but Lee and Irving aren’t clever enough defensively to play together.
