2) I would avoid England like the plague just now, it’s an utter disaster down there with Covid

I do not believe you meant that expression

Carabo Cup this week, then midweek league games.

As teams up here have, who’s going to play us then?

Nonsense

1) English teams have started their season, why would they halt progress on that to play us, a Scottish team, in our terms?

2) I would avoid England like the plague just now, it’s an utter disaster down there with Covid

3) the planning needed for 2/3 trips down to English in 3 weeks time, better to play teams on our own turf. Playing lower league fodder will allow us to practise pumping the daylights out of Hibs in the Semi

They haven’t had that much of a pre season so may well be interested in games. Time will tell.
Avoiding England in general is wise, but at this time going there is no more dangerous than Paisley or many other places to play teams that aren’t testing is it?

It’s is different through. There’s a pandemic

In terms of preparing the players there will be no difference.

I'm quite sure the club will take no unnecessary risks with the players health, whether that means testing opposition players or being more selective on who we play, but the squad will need to play a number of proper football matches, that is no different from any other season

We were half to Manchester to play a friendly last week and needed to turn back due to a Covid issue at the Manchester end.

Teams that aren’t testing? Is that wise in your opinion?

I must’ve missed that, it’s clearly something we are looking to do.

We'll be playing teams in the league that aren't testing and the cups

They’ve been given money to test, they will need to use that money to test initially at least surely?

The money wasn't solely for testing

Yes but they could still want friendlies for squad players as they haven’t managed to get many games. St Mirren did this didn’t they?

During the international break.

But it was taken on the understanding that they have to test, when their league starts. Has it changed that they don’t have to test when they start playing games?

Yes that was already mentioned thanks, the point still stands that they played us after the season started, although it’s unlikely that others may do the same now as those in Europe and Hibs won’t play us.
It will interesting to see who we do play now.

If not better, I’m sure we will arrange enough games in safe environments to be prepared to play ICT on the 6th of October.

It will happen play a game then next day SPFL will fine us deduct points and say hearts FC have put other players and there families in life threatening danger. Every other club have followed the rules so far but hearts have their own rules and think they can do what they want

The SFA probably are hoping some of our best players get covid pre the semi final and cant play. They have tried everything else to prevent us getting up to speed for the Hibs game.

Our pre-season friendlies are going to be the league cup games and we better get them right.

We'll be playing before then.
