I am going to go against the grain but I think they will give Arteta more time

By the end of this season we will see the departure of Ozil for example and a couple of others

He's part way through a major rebuilding job which was clear when he was appointed and without hundreds of millions to spend he needs to wheel and deal

There is little point in another restart so perhaps time to give him the chance to complete the changes.

Of course there is always a limit but I think next season will be the time to judge...in the meantime he needs to make decisions on his younger players and try to win a cup whilst giving the fans some hope for the future

I agree. And much as it pains me to say it as he’s the Arsenal manager but I like Arteta. In a way he will be better for this poor season they’re having so far as it will teach him hard lessons about the players he has and what he needs to do instead.

Maybe the game is running out of them but big clubs like Arsenal with big expectations and past history need a strong character, a man with a bit of a track record and constitution to handle the pressure.

Arteta just strikes me as another modern coach obsessed with possession and wants to manipulate his team’s every move.  He’s just another coach from nothing fast-tracked into a prestigious job.

Arsenal have the worst fans on the planet, the treatment of Wenger still sickens me. Hilariously they now have some fans calling for his return. To be honest it would be the smart move but he might think twice about it, that squad has that dangerous mix of bad attitudes and bad quality

Total mismatch 🤣

Leeds defence is rotten.

They are exactly like Norwich were last season. Came up scoring freely from the Championship but didn't sort out a shite defence.

Leeds are lucky they got a good start to the season.

Big couple of weeks now for them.

They can still beat any team in the league.

Playing with a lot of Championship standard players too.

Leeds will be fine.

Grealish must be the biggest diver around with his childish screams and rolling about when not even touched

Oh and wear a pair of proper shin pads..it might help

He has all the talent but his career will be tainted if he continues on this path

Watching the Brentford - Newcastle Carabao Cup match just now.
It’s nice to see a good old fashioned mid December pitch and not this billiard table people expect now.
Nowhere near the lofty standards of the 1970’s Baseball Ground though.

Reckon Brentford will win that. Newcastle are toiling with Lascelles and Saint Max being out with long covid.

I think the only difference could be Wilson and Fraser having that bit of class. Though of course Brentford could try adding their top goal scorer in the second half.

Brentford are a good side. Think they might get promoted this year.

Is that Ivan Toney? Who Celtic tried to pinch for £3million and wouldn't Budge.

That’s the boy. Scored a shedload this season already. Way more than the £50m rated “French Eddie” who is currently tied on 5 with Ross Callachan.

It only opened this season. Unfortunately they are sharing it with the London Irish, the pitch at the Madejski was exactly the same when the played there!
Just confirms that football and rugby don’t go ..... ‘no Hearts at Murrayfield’!

Imagine how bad it would be if it wasn’t an expensive hybrid pitch.

Best mud bath ever will always be Hereford v Newcastle in the FA cup early 70’s.

Looked like a ploughed field.

FA cup at its underdog best.

I love watching Leeds play football. It's maybe how it should be?

That whole Plan B thing..."we'll lump it up to the big man."

We've done that. It's not great, tbh😀

Yep, if Celtic stopped being so tight they would have had him, McGinn and almost lost out on Turnbull because of their negotiating strategy.

Good win for Brentford though. Steve Bruce doesn't have long left now I don't think.

Just put Salah back in my EPL fantasy team on Thursday night and saw he didn’t start today...   :badmood:

Makes a great supersub though... :jjyay:

I was told to change my captain a few minutes from the deadline as the rumours were he was on the bench 🙈
Since I put Son&Kane in my team they’ve went L/D/L 😆😂

Howler from the Arsenal keeper 😐

I saw something on Twitter that explained arsenal quite well. A spurs fan said he now knew what arsenal fans thought about spurs 20 years ago as it looks like the roles have been reversed

It does seem like it will take a few years and a lot of investment to fix the problems at arsenal

Arsenal probably. Sure they must be on the brink of sacking arteta

Arsenal need to move on their players and whoever signed them. They are the common denominator in their decline.

Changing manager again, just now, would only offer up the chance of a temporary improvement for them.

Shooter McGavin

I remember thinking at the time that it was bizarre that Arteta was going to Arsenal, and Ancelotti was going to Everton.

Surely that should’ve been the other way around.

After a very average performance Cavani shows his worth

Should have been sent off though before scoring that goal.

I’m no fan of Man Utd but Fernandes really is a marvellous footballer to watch. His range of passing and invention is brilliant. Those hoppy penalties are painful to watch though.
