Dawnrazor
Its a scam!!! The bill will never be paid, one of the three buyers is a notorious Irish man in Lancaster about half an hour from me, it just keeps the price artificially high for his other stock. Its done a lot around here with Swaledale tups and in the borders with Scottish Black Faced tups, a few farmers will sell for stupid money to each, they take a wee hit on the auctuon commission but gain on the price of thier other stick. Exactly this, it really doesn’t help the image of farming. It is all for the headline and there is not a chance that somebody would buy a Tup for that much for commercial use on a farm. Rather frustrating for normal farmers who are trying to make agriculture relatable to the general public.
