Hi all,

Had the pleasure of sitting down with Andy Driver at the weekend to have a chat! We spoke about everything from his time in the states, breaking into the first team, the 2008 transfer saga, his injuries, 'that' game in 2012 and his thoughts on the current situation with COVID and Hearts! Hope you all enjoy.

Did his girlfriend ever win Miss Scotland?

Didn’t even know you could do that... where do you buy tickets?

Brilliant interview.

Top player in his day.

Comes across really well also.

Liked the bit when the young brother didn't want his picture taken with Andy 🤣🤣🤣

Did she? I just remember his girlfriend was a perennial entrant into the Sun's Miss Scotland competition, and wondered if the JKB massive ever got her the tiara or not...

Was interesting to hear Andys comments on Kingston. I wonder how he’d compare Bruno Aguiar to Larry ability wise. We had that many players during his time easy to forget

Damn, that's a great shout- should have asked for that comparison!

"Defeat is not an option".

Andrew Driver, 17/05/12.

Second only to John Cumming's "Blood Doesn't Show..." quote, imo.

Really enjoyed that.

Nice to hear Andy had a real love and support for our club purely on how he was treated and developed at Tynie.

Nice to hear a pro footballer also state how he agrees how much Celtic and Rangers dictate so much in Scottish Football.

First time listening, really enjoyed it. Good interview with a very humble Driver. Defo a legend even if he doesn't think so himself.

That was the most interesting part when we were chatting- I appreciated how honest he was during it

That was a great listen mate, well done 👍

Out of interest what’s he actually doing now? Is he still in the states?

And yeah he's still in the states! He's starting to get into commentary I believe

Perth to Paisley

I enjoyed that but I also wanted to hear about:

* his take on potential cap for Scotland

* his time in America

* his time in The Netherlands

* regrets for joining Aberdeen

* what he is doing now/ play 5's even?

Part2 required - get onto it!

His father is a gentleman! North Berwick High School pupils are still reminded of him....regularly!
