This season, Celtic could win NOTHING.

Out of the league cup.

Out of Europe (never going to win it anyway).

We can beat them in the Scottish Cup final.

Looks like they'll lose the Prem.

Pleasing!

They'll still have this seasons cup to play for, would love to see us dump them out of that :jjyay:

As long as Celtic have 3 games against Rangers, the points difference isn't so critical.

Celtic also waiting for Rangers to have a slump like they did last season.

Funny you should say that. Went to Kerrydale Street to enjoy the seethe and one of 'em posted this:

"You can add the league now to the CL, EL and League Cup that holding on to Lennon has cost us. Only 2 weeks till it costs us the Stupid Scottish Cup nonsense as well."

A bit like when the league was called last year.  Was still time for it to change yet they were handed the title.

Glad to see that the cup means so much to them. Please Hearts, annihilate them in the final.

Just the Scottish Cup to salvage their season then. Even then, that's not enough for them.

Oh, well.

And it's not even this season's cup!

Make no mistake, if it genuinely looks like Celtic have no chance of winning the league, they will be looking for even the most tenuous reason to void the season. As far as I am aware the SPFL have not defined under what circumstances the season could be voided due to Covid-19; cue Lawell to step in. Nothing is beyond that shower.

I’m sure they’d love to, but not a chance in my opinion

great result for the bhoys today anyway they’ve had a rough month and to turn things around so quickly with a huge point against SJ things are looking great for them

Hearts win cup, rangers win the league, Lennon finished in Scotland, they never got past 8.78 IAR, ridiculous treble run stopped..

they won’t be able to hand out prize money if they void it 😂

The media reaction (with all the ex Celtic players on standby to comment) is being very disrespectful to St Johnstone.

Overall a fairly predictable result given St Johnstone's form.

Decent result for Celtic given too their difficulties recently - media could say that.

Aye with Brutus Bonner sticking in the knife.

Yes but he has hardly mentioned St.Johnstone.

Took Ryan Stevenson to come out and say St.Johnstone deserved to win the game.

Looks like Celtic are desperate to avoid having to sack him and give him a big pay-off, hoping he'll quit.
Any other season he'd be a goner...the finances this year are more problematic.

Just that since they didn't do it last week, there's absolutely no good reason to sack Lennon after a draw with in form St Johnstone.

suspect it's a bit like we were with Levein - no plan B despite the fact that it was bleedingly obvious one was needed...

Wow.

Great story. More games than he can count to.

I'm probably wildly optimistic, but perhaps not having fans is a bit of a leveller in terms of finances. They'll still be streets ahead, but they have a lot of players on big multi year contracts and with a reliance on big home gates (albeit many STs) and Europe, they will hopefully be struggling. Same with the Hun.

Pat Bonner thinks Lennon will stay.

Good fixtures coming up. Bigger problem changing it before Cup final.

Seems to be suggesting board would prefer Lennon to get blamed for Cup final defeat.

Also Ryan Stevenson said before game players are missing the fans.

It is true at times the support carrys the team.

I suspect he has gone, will however be in post until cup final, pick up the huge bonus* and step away. Board will have someone already in place who will take over on 21st December, giving him about 10 days before the OF game.

*obviously Celtic will assume they will win

Like having a team photo taken during a pandemic. I know they said there was no risk and all the players tested negative beforehand, but the SG gave football special privileges to go ahead, nothing stopping them from closing it down, they don't trust the teams, and rightly so, and there is no way in hell they will be letting fans into grounds until the vaccine is dished out to most.

Does it suit us if he stays? What if they are manageress for the final?

It suits us if he stays as he has lost the dressing room. The same rumours about bullying at training are exactly the same as when he was at Hibs.

And they'll know the Cup final is a good time to sack him.

If not then after next Rangers game.

Plausible. And a superb scenario for us.

13 points adrift and likely to be more by the time of the OF derby, as Celtic will miss another league game due to the SC final.  Even with games in hand, the way Celtic are playing those are only more opportunities to drop points.

Him not being around will take the pressure off the Tim players so praying he's still reeking out their dressing room at Hampden
