This should be pinned to the wall of every dressing room our players are in.

Raith Rovers chief wants to 'build bridges' with Hearts after 'tainted' relationship - and would be surprised if fans boycott

Something simpler along the lines of  "TAKE YOUR MEDICINE"

We could have a pot to hire a plane as well.

Imagine empty away stands at Stark's Park with a plane flying over pulling a banner saying 'Take Your Medicine'

I see the club have taken the 'Only Hearts' motto and are running with it.

They might not come out and say it, but that's an endorsement in my opinion.

So neither of you will go to another away game? Or is the boycott only until we're back in the premiership?

If we make next seasons cup final, will you not go?

I can assure you that for many it will last, regardless of us winning games. For them the ‘boycott’ will continue.

Of course quite a few will still go to games.

It’s an individuals own choice.

Completely agree its a personal choice.

IMO if we start well and beat Hibs in the semi, the first away game we're allowed folk in I think we'll take a good crowd and a boycott won't be noticeable.

I find folk using the term scab embarrassing tbh.

To those like Sassenach I would ask how else do we register our complete and utter disgust and contempt for what has happened to our club? If we do nothing and simply “accept our medicine” we appear weak and, quite frankly, apathetic to the situation. I have been following Hearts for over 60 years and I have never felt like this before. Yes, we need to “bottle” our anger etc and galvanise ourselves for a return to top flight football, but if it wasn’t for James Anderson and our unbelievable support it could have taken us many years to recover from the very significant loss in revenue we will undoubtedly suffer. Always Hearts and to hell with the rest!!

can't speak for others but I will not be at any of the away grounds of those that sought us harm, ICT, Falkirk Stranraer, Partick thistle all good for me.

As I said, I'm not going to dictate to others what they should do or not do, individual choices and all that.

I probably would as it wouldn't matter what size of crowd Hearts took or who the opposition was the money would be divided evenly.

I think many of the so called sizeable Hearts support will take to social distancing themselves from Dens Park for some time to come

Like you people will go to any game they want to. There's no chance i will be going to Dundee, Raith etc. But if we got to the Scottish cup final and crowds were allowed i'd make up my mind at the time. That's my choice.

I get that people want to go to away games & maybe wouldn’t want to miss them all, but feel the likes of Dundee & Raith should be avoided like the plague.

would be great to see a big ‘only hearts my banner at tynie (with or without crowds)

I won’t be at the Semi final or the final. It’s a hard thing to say but me attending either legitimises a competition I think should have been scrapped as soon as our season was.

Never is a long time but as things stand I won’t be at another away game.

Edit - just noticed you said next seasons cup final. No, I honestly think 19/05/12 was the last time I’ll see Hearts lift a trophy at Hampden.

I do not get to many/most away games and I absolutely respect and admire Hearts fans who go to most/all games. Everybody has their own reasons for going along to away games. To make the effort to get to games, carry the expense and put up with some inconvenient kick off times etc, demands respect from us all.
Here’s the but. However, their is no doubt that clubs throughout the leagues voted to financially damage the 3 demoted clubs. That would be bad enough, but many of them voted against Hearts and the others in a deliberate attempt  to benefit financially for themselves. Unfortunately, to go to many of the away games this season is to directly reward many clubs who deliberately  and consciously acted against us. I can imagine these clubs saying to themselves - it’s ok it’ll pass, they’ll be back in their numbers. The plain fact is they should not benefit from their scurrilous actions.

However, as said, we must respect the guys going to the games. I would ask them though to give it great thought and to at the very least stay away from Dundee and the other rogues. Please consider it very carefully.

There is a double whammy available to hurt those that hurt the club.

Let's assume a couple of hundred instead our usual 1-2000 still decide, as is their choice to travel to most/every away game. The hosts will be legally required to provide internal and external steward security, police attendance in and around the ground before and after the match including if necessary escorts to and from stations if used.

Surely the cost of that will be larger than a couple of hundred paying at the gate. So, they are hit with less money from a smaller travelling support but with the same expense as a bigger travelling support.

Bleedin' right. That expectation of a 'sizable Hearts travelling support' and bleating about there only going to be one should be all the incentive needed. I just totted up the ticket costs over the previous couple of seasons for myself and the others who go to Dens & McDiarmid; in excess of £500. So, from now on its a case of spending that at Tynecastle in whatever suite is open for business on away game days and saving a whole heap of dosh (not to mention time) on travel costs to boot.

Away day boycott cash will also be donated to the account when it’s set up.

The answer is a resounding "Yes" from me ... as long as it is corporate and you eat & drink as much of their 'hospitality' as possible whilst wearing maroon beneath your neutral jacket. Can I come too? 😆

I don't doubt that you love the club. Hearts will endure financial hardship because of the actions of the spfl/sfa, people employed by the club may well lose their livelihoods. Under the circumstances and in the short term at least please don't even consider propping up the likes of Ayr, Dundee, Raith etc. Please stay at home and donate the money to Hearts/FoH. That way your club will get through this and come out the other end stronger.

I take your point, and I respect the opinion of anyone who chooses not to go to games, but to me it's about watching a game of football.

I'm limited in the games I can get to, given that I live in England and I choose not to drive. One game I can get to quite easily by rail is Queen of the South. Dumfries is also a nice town to visit, so I will probably go. Some on here have expressed their opinions on Queen of the South, but to me it's just about watching Hearts if I can.

My decision on whether to go to a game doesn't stop me from also buying Hearts merchandise or donating to FOH if I choose to.

With the way things have developed south of the border it may well become an irrelevant argument sooner rather than later. Personally can't see supporters inside grounds in Scotland this year and if they do allow some Sept/Oct there is every likelihood they will have to back track and reintroduced a ban. Confident that we as supporters will get Hearts through this and out the other side. Also fairly confident a lot of clubs won't.

it would be great if the club could organise something at Tynecastle for our away games. Give out more LPs for those staying at home as opposed to those going away. Mind you not sure when we'll now need LPs..........................Anyway just a thought

Fans have a personal choice, to go or boycott. Not going to call any Hearts fan a scab or any such derogatory name, BUT I would urge and try to persuade anyone thinking of going to think twice. These clubs could have voted for reconstruction and it would not have effected them one iota. They chose to deliberately harm us. Had it been a choice between harming themselves to help us I would have an entirely different approach, BUT the had time to consider the consequences and still worked us over. Reconstruction should have been a mandatory decision by the SPFL and they too decided to ignore the simple fact this virus should never have been the cause of clubs being harmed. It is for these reasons I will not attend any away game this season and will have a long hard thought before attending any next season.

Hearts fans are being used to bolster the books of clubs that CHOSE to harm us and we should CHOOSE to reciprocate.

Cup should've been scrapped. That said, Celtic/SFA (same thing) want the trophy and it will be handed to them at the Cup Final no matter who gets to the final. The SFA, refs etc will make sure of it so I won't be attending any fake semi.

Ideally, Hibs sell their allocation, we take absolutely none from the SFA and we still get half the gate receipts. The costs of security, police, kiosks etc. and also to Hibs would hurt them all financially and make me smile for a month or two at least.

On the subject of away tickets, buying them would just be accepting and bowing down to these c-u-next-Tuesdays which i refuse to partake in. The more money we can drain from others the better. Hurt them where they hurt us. Imagine Ayr Utd for example get in touch with Hearts to ask how many tickets we want for Somerset Park and they are told "none thanks!" Dundee and others..."none thanks!" Away team allocation at Tynecastle should be reduced to no more than 200, including any "big" team we may get in Cup competition. We can fill Tynecastle ourselves without anyone else. On away games, open up the lounges and restaurants and use your ticket money there filling Hearts' coffers or donate to FoH. It can be done, we can't ever be seen as weak.

I’m interested to know why Hearts were right to stand for something that was in their own self interest, yet it’s bad the other clubs did the same.

It’s a bit cringeworthy that this debate is still going on. Some people will go, some people won’t. Can we save the pleading people not to go out? It’s rather sad.

Our solutions meant nobody was unfairly punished. It was only when the media agenda swung wildly to favouring the C3 clubs that we wanted anyone to lose out.
