Great tit.

I get loads in the back garden.  Lovely little bird.

Blue tits are cool too.  Brave little buggers.

Long Tailed or Bearded.

Every day's a school day, eh? I was hoping I hadn't missed one (bearded) so had a quick Google and it seems, although it sometimes gets called a bearded tit, it's actually a bearded reedling and not related to the tit family.

And if anyone chooses Marsh as their favourite...Kym is NOT included

Obviously the wee Bluey. See one almost daily in the tree outside our window.

Makes a nice change to pigeons in the roof space and seagulls dive bombing you in the street. Arseholes.

Memories of a certain dentist.

It was just about in your eye, wasn’t it?

Och, Hazel, just take all my teeth out.  Slowly.

This wee bird flew into our house a few weeks ago. I walked up to it and it let me lift it up and place it on the outside window sill where it sat for a few minutes before flying away to a nearby cherry tree.

Is that it ready to fly away?  If so, check your house, it might have left a leg behind.

Love seeing a pair of tits, especially if there’s a well-trimmed bush nearby.

Lockdown has seen a rise in out out of control bushes, the likes of which we haven't seen since the 1970s.

Sorry to take the thread in a weird direction but I have some coal tits in the back garden. They have quite a distinctive song and I tracked it down via the RSPB website.

When my Mum passed away I went home to Wales and, when at my sisters in Snowdonia before the funeral I went into her back garden and was a bit upset. Cue a coal tit singing in the distance.

A few days later I visited the meadow behind the crematorium where her ashes were going to be scattered, I sat on a bench there and broke my heart. Cue a coal tit singing nearby

My Mum was a miners daughter.

Many cultures believe relatives, in the shape of birds visit the bereaved.

I dunno but it certainly helped me out when I was a bit lost.

Anyway, back to the tits and bushes jokes

I understand completely what you're saying, bird song can be so evocative, it's the first Curlew that gets me but all the upland birds and their songs keep me going sometimes.

I came out of work the other day and there was a blackbird singing it's heart out over the road. I actually sat in the car with the window down listening to it for a bit. Beautiful
