I can't find anything online about when these are scheduled to be reopened. Has anyone seen or heard confirmation of a reopening?

Thanks.

Not sure. Sod all online as you say.

It is the council though, so guaranteed they'll leave it as late as they possibly can!

Indeed. First they tried to wriggle out of opening the school and now they’re avoiding as many services as possible. Chancers!

Not quite the same as visiting a library, but If you've got an Edinburgh Library card, you can borrow ebooks.

Can you put them on a Kindle? I don’t fancy reading on my laptop screen.

I havent borrowed any but the list of Ebooks has over 5.000 in Epub format so I imagine it should be ok. Cant find anything on the site to say yeah or nae.  With Kindle being so popular I would imagine the books should be ok on it

Is the correct answer. Download Calibre as well.

As far as I know you can't put epub book files on a Kindle. I'm sure they still only take mobi files.

Like CF, I haven't borrowed any. Their website seems to say that you can't use a Kindle e reader, but you can use a Kindle Fire tablet, or other android or Apple devices. There's apparently an app in the app stores for this; it's called Libby.

I use an app ReadEra from play store to read efiles on my tablet.

Works great for me.
