Rick Sanchez
12th in the Championship with Bristol City? That's punching IMO, regardless if he was on a bad streak. Zero loyalty nowadays, probably makes Hearts under Budge a really attractive prospect for a manager/sporting director. I would have taken him a few weeks ago but that's old news. Onwards and upwards. Niemi’s gloves
Sadly, 4 and a half years managing one club is an unusually long spell these days. incidentally the BBC Report of the game (Bristol City 0 Cardiff 1) is worth reading for the final comments from Cardiff manager on Callum Paterson ( basically he did the hard work over 79 minutes that allowed Danny Ward to come on as a sub and score the winner in the 85th min). Appears to rate him much as Warnock did. With 10 points from 4 games since the restart and now up to 6th, Cardiff are looking good for a play off place

Mikey1874
The timing is curious. Its over this season. 9 points away from Play Offs. He's done okay in a nightmare of a league.

3fingersreid
When he played in the derby at Tynecastle he took 15 mins or so to settle but after that he was excellent for us . Could’ve been a great signing but not to be .
Mikey1874
Its very difficult. While some clubs are being canny with money, Wolves and Aston Villa notably got promoted spending shed loads of money. West Brom still spending loads though in trouble next year if not promoted with no parachute payment. What are the likes of Bristol City meant to do? I reckon they have an excellent chance of making the play offs, that game against Derby is a real 6 pointer! Neil Harris has done a brilliant job since taking over, there is a pretty decent squad of players now, no stars just hard grafters. No one will fancy playing Cardiff in the play offs that's for sure. Callum taken off after 70 odd minutes and his replacement gets the winner. Hope they go up...

In any event, if it was Gary - a very experienced manager himself - there’s no reason to hold it against Lee.

Exactly what I was going to say, he was never given a chance and was very vocal about it when it left too, quite rightly imo. I'm sure he joined the same time as Hackett, who reminded me of Ivan Sproule, bags of pace but utterly terrible end product, and zero ability. It was crazy indeed and with all the money spent we could and should have won many more trophies. If only we had someone level headed putting in the same amount of cash the sky would have been the limit. Lee Johnson was right about the running of the club but he could have been clearer it was the owner he meant being the circus act. Maybe he did it was a long time ago, sorry Lee if that was the case.
