Hopefully there will be a few players actively looking for the door which will allow us to bring a few in. Hickey in the Premiership would be a loss but due to our demotion, I can understand why he won’t hang around and in Championship Garruchio will be a decent replacement. Personally think he’d be better going to Villa. I’d prefer him to sign a new contract so we are in a better bargaining position but that’s not going to happen so we need to take as much as we can for him and hopefully he will have the decency to put in a sell on clause in contract. There have been a lot of players who get released from clubs so we need to have a look around to pick up a few if possible. Calvin Miller for example is a great shout. The Academy at Villa is starting a major overhaul, some real prospects have been picked up and they are developing in house rather than being loaned out.
