Thanks to the benefactors..5 more years of support

Hearts have offered to fund COVID-19 testing for other Scottish clubs should their reconstruction proposal be accepted, with their mystery benefactors committing their support for a further five years.

The individuals have ploughed £9m into the club over the past three years and are set to continue offering financial support.

And with that set to continue until 2025, Ann Budge has suggested that the Jambos could contribute to the costs of testing for coronavirus at clubs across Scotland in a bid to help get football back underway.

However, that would appear to hinge on the proposal, which was circulated last yesterday and will be discussed by the SPFL Board this afternoon, gaining enough support to become a reality.

Big thanks to our benefactor, other football clubs would be foolish to knock back this offer of help. Without trying to sound arrogant, it would smack of biting the hand that feeds you.

Despite all the hatred from other clubs (and fear by Hubz)shown towards us we can still be benevolent in dire times

that's why we are Heart of Midlothian

Things have got so bad I'll need to proof read every story now !!

Maybe the person whose job it was, was working under the impact of the Coronavirus...the excuse worked for others...…………….maybe.

I think their contribution hasnt really been as appreciated as it should.

£9m and 5 more years support for absolutely nothing.

That is more money that any owner outside the top clubs has invested.

Absolutely unbelievable and we wont have that without AB so as much as i am critical of her on field decisions that is something no one can argue with.

Funding Covid 19 testing is an example of HMFC following the principle of clubs looking after each other.  FOH offering advice to any other clubs regarding raising funds is another.

Sadly other teams wishing to relegate HMFC under the Covid 19 shutdown is an example of 'screw you, I'm alright Jack!'

To the benefactors, I would say a huge THANK YOU.

HHGH.

Would love to know who the benefactors are so I could thank them, but also understand if they prefer anonymous.

It is a very great gesture the club is actually providing solutions and working hard but others are as you say keeping to themselves, especially a certain club in green and white who have bags of money in the bank and only have cared about being crowned champions.

But us trying to help others is not fitting the narative of us only being out for ourselves, only doing anything because we dont want relegated.

In stark contrast the behaviour of other clubs has been abysmal. The spite, hatred, greed and lack of decency is profoundly depressing.

Lets not be too hypocritical here. We are offering the cash to others as a sweetener/ bribe/ financial incentive so that they accept Recon2.

BIG THANKS TO BENEFACTORS. We would be in a dark place (not Leith of Glasgow though!!) without them.

He/She/They wish to remain anonymous.  End of!

Just imagine the kicked up keech if it is Ann.

Matthew 6:2-4 ESV  “When you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites [Llawell, King, etc.] - - that they may be praised by others - when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,  so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."

Been saving up all his spare change in a  shitey Argos decanter.

Once he'd bought the glue of course.

I'm sure someone does, but given that the benefactors have chosen to remain anonymous to date, I think that it would be best to respect their wishes in that respect. Don't you?

The statement says that we could contribute to the testing costs.  I'm itk on this.  We will be contributing 100% of the costs to clubs like Partick and Stranraer and £1.60 to Hibs.

Thank you to all the benefactors, it’s been hugely appreciated, all you’ve done.

With the right personnel and set up in the football department, and with your continued financial backing, we really have the potential of doing something special on the park.
