Robert Connisburgh’s real name was Robert Warren

Almost a crossword clue pen name then.

In the Scandinavian family of languages rabbit translates as kanin so it's not too far to stretch a misspelling of that to become connin.

And a burgh is a town...so connisburgh = rabbit town = warren.

Interesting - I'm sure you're spot on.

Without having to head to Scandinavia, a connie or cony is an alternative English name for a rabbit.

Is someone at the Times a Jambo?   Today's Quick Cryptic has the following:   'Tries to have little time in suit (6)'.

Tries (as in a court) = HEARS

Little time = T  -  inside HEARS

If ye cannae spell it then here's what it says...HEARTS.

Keep an eye on these in the days ahead. we might be seeing secret messages.  If tomorrow has "Dumpster", "GFA" and "Reconstruction", then it is a JKB insider.

Some light relief. Today's Times crossword includes the clue: ' Rubbish musical about Heart of Midlothian (3,3)'.

It's one of the very few clues that I was able to answer this morning. Anyone else?

A slight twist:

Rubbish musical about Heart of Midlothian (6)
