Have waived the money we owed them for perreira (yes he was the worst keeper ever πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‚)

Β

none the less - a really classy gesture πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I wonder if they've seen his performances, our current position, and written it off as they feel responsible.

Probably saved them a fortune in the long run.

Not sure how long his man Utd contract is,but surely it isntΒ  getting extended after his trip to Edinburgh.

Credit to them. Unlike the OF, who like to think they're big clubs, Man Utd actually do behave with a degree of responsibility although they can of course definitely be accused of self interest at times too. The OF are just petty, bitter clubs who are only motivated by mutual hatred and self interest.

How much was it due to be?

Β

If the old firm ever did that they would expect something in return.

He may well be the worst goalkeeper I’ve seen at Hearts but at a time when almost everyone in the Scottish game seems determined to **** us over, including aΒ player who’s supposedly a β€˜club legend’, that’s a decentΒ gesture.Β

Fair play - niceΒ gesture on their part. I don't know how much isΒ owed but it'sΒ probably not anΒ insignificant amount of money for us right now, and every little helps. Especially when it's paying for a player who was utter, utter shite.Β

It's the least they can do.Β

Β

We were supposed to get a goalkeeper.Β

Β

Thanks though.Β

A touch of class from Manchester United.Β

Β

We are seeing football clubs as they really are during this pandemic. Good or bad.Β

Β

Pity the latter appears to outnumber the former.Β

Celtic, Rangers & SPFL, this is how you act, this is how you show class.

Thanks to Manchester United.

I wonder how much we were due them? Still every little helps as a certain supermarket might say.Β

They're suing the makers of football manager for using their name in the game for past 30 years. What a club.Β

Classy, and yet suing the makers of Football Manager is not.Β
Β

Think it shows they have classy people involved in the football side of things but not so much in the business department.Β

Not solely. Obviously Budge, Levein, the players and to a lesser extent Stendel all have a share of the blame as well...

Β

All that said I genuinely think if we'd had a decent keeper or even brought Bobby back in a few games earlier we wouldn't have been bottom of the league.Β Pereria has been a huge part of thatΒ

Good on Man U.Β

Β

Joel should work becoming a goalkeeper first a foremost without worrykng about fancy footwork before trying to go on loan to another club.Β

That is just Class, and more so by recognising that even that paltry sum, could damage a club massively

Nice gesture by Man U but I am genuinely baffled how he's been at Man U for so many years. I really struggle to think of a worse keeper we've had. PossiblyΒ Colin Doyle is the closest challenger. The pair of them make Jack Hamilton look like Gigi Buffon.Β

I'd say that he's cost us more than the 4 points that we are adrift just now tbf, however, it's a great gesture by them nevertheless, and you won't hear me praising that mob very often!Β

Nice gesture, but why do Man United even need money from these sort of loans in the first place.Β  3 players that they've loaned out to various clubsΒ comes to Β£130,000 over the whole season?Β  They pay some of their individual players more than that perΒ week!

Β

What is Β£30/40/50,000 from Hearts even going to cover at a place like Manchester United?Β  It definitely isn't to cover Pereira's wages, because he's on around Β£15,000 a week according to their financial reports!

Β

Edit - Β£15k!Β  A week!Β  Just think about that, and think about the performances! :vrface:Β

I’m assuming Man Utd keep paying his wages and Hearts are asked to pay a percentage contribution.

Β

But yes, terrifying.Β

Good gesture from Man Utd, shows real class.Β

Β

JP though... worst keeper we've ever had. Unbelievable to think the money he'll be on at Utd and will probably make in his career despite being at Scottish League One (maybe) level of ability.Β

Maybe Sir Alex had a hand in this. I once heard he was donating money to hearts, dont know if it was just a rumour or not.

By only charging whatever the amount is (no idea what the actual figure is, but let's go withΒ 1/3rd of the Β£130.000) they basically are though.

Β

They pay about Β£2.5Β Million a week to players in salaries.Β  Ignoring all other operational costs, it comes out as around Β£135 Million a year, just to playing staff.

Β

Taking Β£45,000 from Hearts is just pointless.
