Trying to ignore the elephant in the room and discuss something else

Intrigued as to the fans views on Daniel and whether it differs depending on division..

i can’t help but like the guy, but really not sure on whether he is the right man to take us forward, especially if we end up in the championship

Either way stay if he is affordable ,he has already been looking at his type if player to bring in.

Given the chance to build he will move us forward  ,and he will carry the point to prove attitude, after the Spfl/celtic board farce we have faced .

I'll back him if he stays, but...

I voted move on, twice. I want Robbo as manager.

Glamorgan Jambo

Voted stay if we're in the Championship (there'll be a margin for error as he further develops his understanding of Scottish football) and move on if we're in a reconstructed premiership (too many errors made during his months in charge).

Suspect he'll up sticks if we're in the championship though.

Have to be honest I don't have that much faith in him.

We have an entire squad rebuild on our plate just like 2014

Cut The Crap

I believe his Hearts contract has been officially terminated following today's decision to end the season?

If that's true, we should leave it that way.

I voted stay to both but I guess championship, compensation and his salary could change that pretty quickly.

He should stay. I'd like to see how he does without the clown show he inherited in the background and with Leveins squad of crocks and plodders ****ed out the door.

Think he should go no matter what division we are in.

The players are shite but his record wasn't good enough.

Go for Robbo.

Not really fussed either way tbh though it would have been interesting to see what he could have done given the summer (in normal circumstances).

More worried about who would replace him. Don't want Robbo, Hartley, Pressley etc.

Lord Beni of Gorgie

I wasn't for him in the first instance, but now I would like him to stay.

He was dealt a shit hand and was probably overly lauded on his arrival.

Convinced even more so now,  a safe option was our best choice back in November.

Now that he is here and the damage is done,  with a clean slate, he will succeed.

Not certain he will fancy it though

Stay for me.     I like his passion and enthusiasm and think he could be really good for us.  We also need to get away from binning managers every 5 minutes.

Werner Herzog

I'm amazed at the above figures.

Wrong appointment for me. Things were looking promising at the turn of the year but results & performances nosedived february onward & some of his team selections have been baffling. The Rangers & Hibs games were outliers. Our last game against the Midden was also unforgivable (you can't just blame the players on the pitch for that).

Also, look at the players he brought in. 2 of the 4 were serious duds. Up there with the very worst Levein has brought in.

Get Robbo in. Knows the championship & loves the club. A sentimental choice maybe, but the thinking outside the box approach has led us to this point. A safe pair of hands are needed.

I think he's a good coach who needs a pre season and the chance to build his own team.

This was my vote

I voted stay and stay. I’m not that fussed tbh but think he could put in a good enough season at either level.

Right man potentially but wrong time he was Appointed. Just hasnt Worked out. Language barrier did cause problems but needed backroom staff from the start

Majority to stay ATM. This doesn't help tho

Daniel Stendel’s agent, Timo Rodewald, tells @ScotMailSport : “Daniel now does not have a contract with Hearts. His contract is only valid for the Premiership. So that is the direct consequence.
‘Does that mean he’s leaving? Not necessarily. But from now he is out of contract.’

Glad to see that most on here are in favour of him staying whichever league we are in, as it feels like we have turned on everyone else at the club & on here at times.

Let’s get Right behind them when it starts(apart from the away games)

He has to go.

Nothing personal.

Could have been great.

Never had the chance.

Would probably scoosh the championship.

We can't afford to keep him to find out.

If in Prem, not sure, depends on commitment from both parties.

If down move on 100%. He will be on too much money and he probably won’t want to be here.

Yip.

He was also just learning to adapt to our game.

He was the wrong choice at the time tho I think. Whisper it, but I think CL would have had us better than bottom, although obviously that still isn't good enough.

But given a summer window, get players in, some out, it's a yes from me.

Sounds like a brand new contract will need to be put into place.  Could be a very positive thing if can be on less wages.  Is his backroom staff in the same boat?

Folk saying he'll cost too much money.

When we get £15m in damages in 6 months time we'll be loaded.

Why whisper your thoughts on Levein?  We all know what you think, based on very little at all.

Spend it on Leveins leaving doo and Budges retirement party combined.

Yip and not his own players.

Got to give the guy a chance with his own team, if possible.

Last time we pissed the championship then ended up third.

Hibs, apparently won the cup in the championship.

We can do something next season.

We'll still have the 4th or 5th biggest playing budget, no stand, foh Hearts paid.

Not where we should be at all but we can use it to our advantage..

That's where I'm at

I’m the same, got to think German league restarting he might be looking for something happening there if he is now ‘contractless’ with us

Two things though...

A summer window means heehaw when there's a good chance we wont see football being played at senior level in scotland until 2021. Also, he's back in Germany: a country in a much better place right now with the current covid situation. Given the circumstances, I do not see any logic of him leaving his family during a global pandemic to manage a club in the 2nd tier of scottish football requiring a massive overhaul. If relegation is rubber-stamped, so is his departure.

Ronald Villiers

I'd like him to stay.  Have a clear out and bring in his own players.  The question is, will they want to play in the 2nd tier of Scottish football?

The Mighty Thor

I believe his contract has ended? Good!

He's been a very costly failed experiment. Another one.

Time to stop pissing about and get someone that can actually do the job in the job. That goes for the backroom, the scouting network, which has been fecking abysmal and the academy.

Root and branch change to get ready for the new world order after all this is over with.
